Alright, I’ve been with my wife ,katie, for 10 years tomorrow. I had an idea(what some may think is lame) to fire up the master chief collection and play halo for a better part of the day, and night. I thought we could all change our clan/service tags to “K+L” you know… a sort of memorial event or something. However unfortunately with all of the problems 343i is having it doesn’t exactly look like matchmaking is going to be possible, or at least not possible enough to justify trying to join games with a large party. Sure we could play customs but that loses it’s flair after spending 15 mins after every game trying to get everyone back into the party. Yeah we could play the campaigns, which are the exact same campaigns we’ve easily played 50 times each on all difficulties. Aside from the graphics and framerate updates on 1 and 2 there’s not really a ton of appeal. I hate that I am going to be grouped in with all of the other people on 343i’s forums -Yoinking!- and whining about all of the problems with matchmaking but it’s seriously getting old, and honestly getting told “game will be fixed on this day or that day” over and over is starting to get a little discerning. Especially when nothing at all has changed. Yeah, I can get into a game after about 5 minutes searching, but that does nothing if after the game is over the game freezes and we have to reboot the game anyway. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Sigh…I’m sorry that I went on this rant, but I really had some high hopes for an anniversary event with katie tomorrow…
Please by all means call me names, or tell me I’m wrong or to go back to Call of duty, but it really wont change anything…
Thanks for reading.

If playing MCC all day was what you planned as a BIG anniversary event. You need to hire someone to give you better ideas.

You’re absolutely right. Maybe I do need to hire an event planner.
or maybe I love playing video games with my wife and wanted to play halo 2 multiplayer with friends exactly like we did 10 years ago.
Thanks for pointing out my flaws

Not pointing you out on your flaws. That sounds like something fun to do, but i wouldn’t call that a BIG anniversary event.
I didnt mean the event itself was big. I meant the anniversary itself was a big event. 10 years.
I obviously have other plans as well, just put halo on the list too.
