I lose practically every DMR duel because enemies sidestep. I try to do it, but I fail completely. Any tips?
It’s called ‘strafing’.
Self dubbed ‘pro’ players do to avoid the enemy’s shot. They think they’re good. They’re never good enough to realize if they get the drop on someone with an automatic they don’t need to dance like a ballet girl.
Basically, strafing is good. Element of suprise is better.
until you realize the fact that theres no such thing as sidestep except in things like tennis, and that in video games what you are referring to is strafing, no. No help or tips.
To get better at strafing? Well, first you need to be good at aiming.
Then you need to move left and right and maybe use BJ to help mess up your enemy’s aim.
i dont know what this “sidestepping” is but try strafing instead.
also, shoot enemies until they die.
seriously though just practice your aim when your moving and you will be all set.
I kinda suck at putting large amounts of tips into a post, but I’ll suggest searching for “Halo strafing tips” on YouTube! You’ll find some great ones!

Self Dubbed? I’m pretty sure when you get paid to play your a pro. Sounds like someone has some MLG hate built up.
Strafing in Halo is all but pointless. With the auto aim and magnetism it renders it almost useless. That being said don’t be predictable. Move one way long then back real fast etc etc.
left…right…left…right…left…right…
Keep it in mind and keep practicing.
Eventually it’ll become natural and you’ll automatically do it.
Practice makes perfect.
