Sidekick

What is up with this gun!!!

Cant get a single kill but i get beamed by it in every game. Feels like also i reload it more than my enemies, it seems like they have way more bullets. Am i using it wrong. Do you scope or dont scope? Cant you get a kill with one clip or 2? Do you spam the trigger or have control shots?
This gun felt better in the 1st flight
Im seeing a lot of negative comments about infinites multiplayer and im starting to see why. I cant find the games pace if that makes sense. I could with any other halo games but this feels the same but way different at the same time. Im starting to get concerned that i wont ve playing this new halo game like i did with halo 5. Looks like this halo veteran is hanging up his cap and sticking with campaign. Its annoying me little that this game is way too focused on new players and it makes me feel like the older generation of gamers are being left out. If your not a sweaty comp gamer this game isnt for you. Why cant it feel and have the same pace as halo 3 just with all the new looks and feels with infinite. I dont knkw anymore?

For me the sidekick seems to be really inconsistent sometimes allowing me to kill an enemy in a second other times rarely hitting a shot(unstable fps probably has something to do with this). I’ve fond that spamming the head is generally the most efficient way.

The more and more i play i find that eveything is tailored around hyper competitive games. Even the fact you said you have to spam the trigger to get a kill shows for me that eveything is too fast pace and doesn’t feel like halo

I cant use the sidekick effectively either. The gun out ttk’s the AR but one mistake and your dead. This is why I like to take their shields off and then headshot them even though that’s hard enough as it is. I don’t want them to buff it tho because people are able to destroy with this gun somehow someway and ill figure it out.

While I think the sandbox is great it does seem to be focused around competitive play. The maps do as well, really bazaar and recharge are very similar maps that just look different but are very focused competitive maps.

Thats because the PvP is lagging.

Most of the guns are inconsistent in PvP.

Yeah it really confuses me too… I’ve literally been killed by someone with one in just over two seconds yet it seems very weak like halo 2s pistol…

Gawd no way. Your right please dont buff this at all. I feel like it should be nerfed though. Its a secondary weapon and it should feel like one

Having the pistol -Yoink!- fire with bloom does not cater to competitive players…bloom creates randomness that isnt a competitive players want

I use the sidekick as its name implies. It only comes out if my primary clip is empty and I need a headshot.

Having said that, I basically never drop it. The sidekick is good backup to any primary, but isn’t a good primary in and of itself.

Yeah I feel the same way, is it controller AA? I have decent aim on m&k but I can’t figure out when to use it but at the same time constantly get killed by it.

Sidekick is a waste for me and I can’t effectively use the scope on any thing against a moving target.

The Sidekick is a powerhouse, but it is also much harder to use than other weapons.

I find myself using it more as a last resort to avoid reloading, or a quick finisher on weak enemies which I believe is the intended use, but it can come in clutch and outkill most things up close when you need it to as well.

Dont think there has ever been a fast firing weapon like this in halo before and that is really strong at all ranges.

Man everywhere you appear you give a bad take.

You do have to control the shots at beyond 20m. You can get one perfect out of one mag - in which you should reload after that kill to get the twice as fast tactical reload - this is something the weapon drill will teach you - if, you pay attention to how to output more damage, faster. You absolutely can and should scope in some scenarios. But not at <20m.

If you’re getting beamed by a gun - and by other players, and you’re not able to, the problem is extremely likely to be *you.*and if you’re seriously thinking this caters to a newer generation, the you can do one of two things.

1: Go play MCC.
2: Understand that Infinite has scaled back from a vast majority of their moves they made in 4-5 and have made this FAR more consistent with previous titles.

and practice, I guess.

I shouldn’t have to change my FOV to be more accurate with one gun in the sand box that’s bogus. But there’s still an issue with frames dripping so that negates you attitude toward there not being an inherent usury with aiming itself in this flight…

Halo 5 pistol was fairly similar

Maybe the Gunfighter.
