Sidekick needs a buff AR needs a nerf

Both of these weapons are the most unbalanced in the sandbox like the title says fix it 343 before launch

Based only on how it feels on Xbox sure. But the Sidekick is pretty op on PC.

I would say reduce range on AR, give the Sidekick an x2 scope, improve aim assist, and limit the rate of fire to something that is realistic on both gamepad and mouse. Which will also reduce the optimal kill-time, but on gamepad you can’t shoot that fast anyway.
I think this would give them separate roles instead, and make both useful but not useful for everything. And at the same time even out the crossplay balance

Sidekick definitely doesn’t need a buff. It both out-kills and out-ranges the AR if used optimally, and it’s killtime decimates BRs up close (as it should). The AR is the only real problem, it’s not weaker enough than the Sidekick to let the Sidekick really stand out in skilled hands, same with the Commando which can kill faster but is so much harder to use that it’s not even worth the extra effort.

If the AR gets toned down another .2 or so seconds on the killtime, but remains the easiest weapon by far to use I think we’ll find the game better overall.
