As people are getting better at the game I am starting to notice that the sidekick is becoming really unbalanced. I wonder what others think?
This only applies when the sidekick is in the hands of a skilled player, but in numerous situations where I have the BR at medium range I find that the sidekick will always kill quicker than I can get 4-5 burst out of my BR. Even if I genuinely do not miss a shot I will sometimes be killed by the pistol because the trigger can be spammed far too quickly, whereas the Br is stuck at certain timings between bursts.
As I say, for 95% of players the skill gap is too high to use the sidekick effectively, but when it gets to good players fighting each other the sidekick will win against a BR at medium range a good amount of the time when nobody drops a shot, which feels fundamentally wrong to me. Your sidearm should not have a faster time to kill than the Br at medium range.
Solution to me is slow down the fire rate slightly. It is just too fast. I want the pistol to be good, but I think it is broken as is. People are just spamming the trigger as fast as they can because there is no limit on the fire rate.
Interested to hear what others think, but it has been frustrating me for a while.
