Just been checking out the war games trailer again and noticed that the pelican now appears to have side machine gun turrets, similar to the side plasma turrets on the phantom. Evidence that the pelican will play a bigger part in the game somehow?
I noticed them too at the end of the Spartan Ops showing from E3. Made me wonder if they are trying to balance the Pelican to the Phantom for something like multiplayer.
It could be a new variant of pelican. Hopefully we can pilot it.
