Sick of high ping games

Im not the one who normally makes posts like this,
But im so sick and tired of getting in games with a ping of 120+ especially im ranked games.

I know for a fact halo has servers where im 20ping, why does this game put you in servers with stupid ping that instantly puts you at a disadvantage,
It makes you behind in everyway.

343i you seriously need to sort your servers out, at this point im going to go back to mcc or another game.

Who else is getting issues?

yeah servers are worst issue right now, it puts me in USA servers half the time instead of EU

Exact same issue here, it’s doing my head in.

I refuse to consistently play a game that puts me in a server with 200ms ping. Let alone spend any money on a game that does that.

I quite like it. I can shoot someone in the face, go and make a cup of tea, sit back down, put my headphones back on, take a sip and then see the shot connect and the player die.

I once made a 4 course meal during an overkill.

45-65 best I see, plays ok(ish)
120-140 fairly regularly, noticeable lag, hit reg hopeless for both shots and melee, shot through walls and around corners etc
200+ too frequently, rubber band, terrible experience, sometimes disconnects

About a third of my ranked matches are played at 150+ms ping. I’m normally pretty chill in the worst of situations. But lag that is out of my control puts a toll on my sanity. It got to the point that I’m back on the forums complaining about it…

I think I’ll just start afk’ing in ranked matches when it puts me on foreign servers. It just isn’t worth it.

yup, I keep getting NA games instead of EU.

I cannot even find ranked matches and I got 3 challenges that requires me to play ranked. Guess I aint doing all my weeklies this week. :upside_down_face:

Its great playing ranked on other region servers, when the game is on my region its great. I dont understand the thought process behind putting players in other regions for ranked games??? It literally makes zero sense, at least give us the option to select regions. Couldnt be too hard.

You can uncheck servers with higher ping. Does this not work as intended?

How do you check the ping on console cus I think I go from The lowest to the highest from one match to another, I thought I was going crazy when I double melee some in the back and they dont drop

Imo, they should add a matchmaking preference setting with the option to prefer either ‘lower ping’ or ‘faster matchmaking’.

You can make the ping visible on the top right of your screen. It’s in UI settings, I think.

Is there an option for that? :open_mouth: How have I missed it even though I’ve gone through all the settings menus lol. Maybe it was worded in a way that I didn’t understand it immediately, then (English isn’t my native langiage).
