I am a new player to halo…I started playing when halo 4 came out and I tell you that I am sick and tired of all the damn glitching…I play hard and practice so that I can get my skills up but with all the glitching who can…They claim they are going to band ppl for quitting games alot but who wants to stay in a game when there are ppl glitching to make themselves get better scores…practice and get your skills up and then you won’t have to glitch…there is a difference between lag and glitching and I know the difference…
Would you like to describe said “glitching”?
I can promise you that there was far more glitching and hacking in prior installments than in Halo 4.
What are you talking about? Let me guess, you’re getting more deaths than kills and that is -Yoink!- you off? You don’t reach high skill in halo in a day… lol
I haven’t really seen much glitching in Halo 4 but I think you should pretty much expect this in any game you play. However, would you care to elaborate?

That doesn’t suddenly make the current glitches and hacks go away…
@OP
IF you quit to many games you can get a one Hour matchmaking ban. After that hour you can play again.
I don’t even think their are really “glitches” in Halo 4 multiplayer. If anything you may be thinking of mods which are rare. Network manipulation rarely happens too. I don’t have a clue as to what you’re talking about.
If you are talking about the kill-cams, they aren’t accurate.
If you are talking about connection (lag), it’s due to a poor netcode and no MM search filters.
If you are getting owned, maybe you need to look at yourself before you judge others.
That word, “glitching” I don’t think you are using it properly.

I didn’t say it did at all. I was just pointing out, and I admit I did it poorly, that glitching/cheating/hacking is very minimal compared to prior games and that the majority of the complaints (headless spartans aside) are actually lag/connection based.
Sorry for my poor wording.
Once or twice I’ve had it happen where a team scores a flag twice seemingly simultaneously. Is this what you mean?

Thank you for admitting your mistake
Swat… modders, maybe he keeps running into naked headless ppl and quits… then gets put back in with them.
Most the stuff I had issues with was lag… cept the AC glitch.

I’m human too you know.

I have to ask how do you know this as fact?
If you have proof, I would love to see it.
Besides with all the modded controllers out there. Can you detect those? I think not.

Well it makes sense; as the franchise has grown, so have the counters to cheating and glitching.
Snickerdoodle wasn’t saying that Halo is free from cheaters, but that there is a significant decrease in them from pa st installments
Now that I’m thinking about it the only “glitch” that get’s abused in this game is the fast nade glitch. Every once in a while I get quick stuck. I haven’t noticed it recently so it’s either patched or I just haven’t been getting killed by it.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
THIS
99% no one is glitching anything vs YOU
> If you are getting owned, maybe you need to look at yourself before you judge others.
Nope.
People getting owned simply come here and ask for everything to be nerfed. Why? Because they are either lazy or refuse to change their tactics.
Halo 4 online is near perfect except for the lag and not being able to watch Theater Mode with a party.
Other than that I play Halo nightly for hours.

It’s been patched. I was pretty upset about that actually. I would’ve liked to see it removed from stickies only, because it made frags really fun to use, and made Pulse Grenades more useful. I’d definitely like to see some sort of variable grenade throw in future Halo games.
To the original poster I recommend this thread (Improve YOUR connection) to maximise your Internet connection quality specifically for Halo online gaming. Apart from that party up with local friends/players to get a local hosted game. You’ll find far less latency and “glitching” effects in those games.
The very nature of online multiplayer games lend themselves to latency/lag and what appears to be glitches at first glance. I play from Australia and have seen all ranges from good to bad in all Halo games including Halo 2, 3, ODST, Reach & 4.
In Halo 2 I could even shoot a rocket and then run forward to kill myself with a rocket to my own back. Yes latency made that appear to be a glitch but it’s just an extreme example.
I agree with Snickerdoodle that Halo 4 is one of the most reliable online games, Reach was very reliable too and Halo 3 coming in next but Halo 2 was the worst offender for online glitches/exploits in multiplayer.
