What does that even mean? I thought Halo 2 Vista was peer to peer? I think you are just trying to kill the trilogy, and this is just a cover up.
How can games like Quake and CS still be playable, yet you cant keep Halo 2 Vista online indefinitely?

I didn’t play H2 Vista but I can feel your pain and anger. We had H2 Live ripped from us years ago but it is burned into my memory bank like it was yesterday. Due to one final glitch back then, some brave souls played on past the shutoff, maybe someone will find a way to do the same with H2V?
Halo 2 on PC/Vista has dedicated server files with it, so even if it is shut down by 343, an active community would be able to still thrive via that way. Halo 2 on Xbox Live, yeah, another story. I read around the internet that people are still playing the Xbox version of Halo 2 via XBConnect, possibly, minus the entire oldschool ranking system that was part of Halo 2 on Xbox Live on the original Xbox. Anyhow.
I don’t know about you guys, but man, I miss the old days of Halo 2 on the xbox, with full game lobbies and customs all day.
/sniff.

But also keep it clean.
