Seriously guys, if you don’t like the game, that’s fine, but don’t try to stop the people that do enjoy it from having fun with it. No, not only the casual players are defending it. Fans of the Halo series that understand that this is a NEW Halo are the ones defending it. You’re not going to get Halo 2, you’re not going to get Halo 3, you’re going to get Halo 4, and some of us happen to like Halo 4. So shut up.
Emotional post above.
Using your own logic - does that mean I can make a thread telling you to shut up? How old are you - 8?

Shut up.

It sure does. Go ahead.
Another derp thread enters cyberspace.
I feel like if this was a hate thread, no one would have a problem with it.

Nah, Like/Hate has nothing to do with being an idiot.
Wow, you guys are -Yoinks!-. I was looking for people that agreed with me, this isn’t a rant/cry thread.
> Wow, you guys are -Yoinks!-. I was looking for people that agreed with me, this isn’t a rant/cry thread.
You’re saying that to the people who merely want to bash you for crying out and trying to get people to realize that this is an entirely new game… Not the best idea. Rather that’s kinda dumb.
Halo 4 is Halo 4. I personally enjoy it! The gameplay, the art work, the core mechanics are still Halo but it’s something new with it. Something that wasn’t here before and has become a new breed of Halo. As well as it comes with a new breed of Player. Some people can’t stand change, and they will inevitably try to get the game back to what they remember, while others love it and will do anything to keep it the way it is.
All in all the core community must realize what it has been saying for generations of Halo Games, is ADAPT. Remember CE? Remember Halo 2? They are old. The gameplay has come and gone and it’s time to learn to enjoy a new game! Lighten up people… It’s still Halo!

That’s what people can’t understand. It’s HALO 4! Not Halo 3 and neither Reach. It’s supposed to bring new mechanics, new game play tips, new ranking systems… And so on.
While it’s Halo 4 it’s still Halo at it’s core. And HALO was always about adapting and evolving mechanics and gameplay. Ever since the creation of MLG people have gotten more and more adapted into changing gameplay mechanics and learned to adapt to the changing environments of Halo. If they don’t well… Some regressed back into Halo 3 expecting things to change. It’s not the game that will change it’s the players. And if they don’t…
They won’t learn to enjoy whats new and exciting.
Much like how it was to adapt to HALO REACH From Halo 3. It took some getting used to but I adapted in no time! It was amazing experience and now it feels sort of polished! Give it a chance. It’s still new. You’ll learn to love it like you did HALO 3 From HALO 2. And so on. If you don’t…
Regress.
I’m not allowed to post my opinions and concerns? I’m sorry to have offended you sir, and of course you don’t have to agree with me, but telling me to shut up because I don’t like some of Halo 4’s mindlessness is unfair to me, and anyone who does not like the current mindless state of Halo 4.
I do like some of the changes, such as custom loadouts, but others like ordinance and lack of balance and weapons on map are really dulling the game down to the point where it’s no longer fun.
I don’t even have the game yet, but after watching multiple Infinity Slayer games and the lack of tactical depth that takes place in them, I’d like to voice my opinion that some form of balance and old playing style is needed. Does that mean scrap everything? No. That means place some static ordnance drops on map that spawn in one place only to bring back map control, drop individual ordnance and the games replayability increases severely.
I’m sorry voicing my opinion offends you, but I’d like the game to be fun for everyone, not just the people who enjoy mindless killing with little to no tactical depth at all.

You’re asking for Tactical Depth? Then stay away from Slayer. Slayer is the place where people go to pile ontop of one another and play dead. CTF is actually enjoyable for the tactics used as is Dominion. Both are fun with the need to barricade the structures and prevent assaults. Friends and myself controlled and dominated Exile Dominion because of tactics against Mindless Slayer Players. Or MSP. ← lol. MSP Is a common affliction in the Current state of HALO 4’s players because of the random ordnance drops compared to Dominion or CTF or even FLOOD! But it does have it’s purpose. Leave the kill happy to themselves, and if you want tactical combat play Dominion or other Team Based Objectives. Thats where the core Tactics return.

While thats true, even slayer needs a layer of tactical depth to it.
You are correct, with halo 4 in it’s current position. I’d still like to see a competitve version of slayer arise in the future. Slayer is (or was) the backbone of Halo. If you and your team outplayed the other team, you were the better slayers. No longer.
That’s what concerns me. Now it’s not always the best of most strategical player who is going to win, but the one who gets an incineration canon or binary rifle in his ordinance.
But, yes, like you said the objective gametypes are likely still very strategical etc. so I geuss I’ll have to stick to them.
It’s what I do, unless I’m going after the Verdnant Visor color. I tend to stick with Dominion or Regicide to assassinate Kings. But Big Team Infinity Slayer seems to be getting it’s Layer of Tactics back. Until the Mantis walks in.
I’m sorry that it sounded like I was bashing everyone that didn’t like the game, it’s just that I really get sick of all the hate and negativity on these forums.
If you had wrote halo 4 sucked, then everybody would be here agreeing with you. God forbid some people actually do like it.
> If you had wrote halo 4 sucked, then everybody would be here agreeing with you. God forbid some people actually do like it.
Exactly. Because for some reason the people that dislike the game are the ones that consider themselves “superior” to the peasants that like it.
