Shut Up About Hating Halo 4!

Yes, we all know that a lot of people don’t like it (on the forums at least), but complaining and whining isn’t going to change anything. Do you really think that 343 pays attention to the whiners that simply complain over and over about issues that have been said that are being worked on? Nobody who’s complaining is creating new topics. We all know that there are issues with the game, but in reality, the only issues are the DMR and Boltshot. Other than that, it really doesn’t have many issues compared to other games at launch (Black Ops, MW2/3, BF3, etc.). Be thankful that the game is playable and has decent map design compared to the games listed above. So, do everyone a favor, and shut up! You aren’t helping the “problems” that you say this game has.

Lel.

I think you need to check your reality…

Telling me to shutup isn’t convincing, proving me wrong with sound logic is. You sound more like an overly-defensive kid than someone with a valid point when all you do is tell people to shutup.

We need betrayals back also, across all playlists.

> Telling me to shutup isn’t convincing, proving me wrong with sound logic is.

What do you mean? What other issues are there? Default sprint is a preference. Ordnance is part of a gametype therefore doesn’t need to be played. Map design is lacking but they will release forge maps in the coming weeks.

Yes, sprint is a preference thing, but sometimes a preference can be a bad one.

Have fun. Not even the complete list either.
Campaign

[/li]- Quick Time Events

 • Artificial lengthening through respawning enemies 2-4 times in the same area
 • Short campaign
 • Halo 4, specifically the Forward Unto Dawn redesign, negates events of previous Halo games
 • No optional backtracking
 • No exploration
 • 5 hour campaign on Legendary by a mediocre player(me).
 • Fanfiction level story with many plot holes

Multiplayer
[/li]- Obscene auto-aim

 • Obscene bullet magnetism
 • Poorly balanced weapon sandbox
 • Vehicles are weak as paper
 • Spawning with plasma pistols and plasma grenades further the uselessness of vehicles
 • Map breaking exploits due to poor collision detection on maps
 • Reduced number of vehicles
 • Custom game options have been drastically reduced
 • Split screen results in poor frame-rate
 • Lack of prioritizing good connection resulting in hosts from foreign countries causing high levels of latency
 • Map voting system resulting in significantly reduced map variety due to players voting for the same map over and over.
 • Join in Progress system allows players booted from matchmaking for betrayals to rejoin via their recent players list
 • Removal of large, empty, forgable maps
 • Removal of firefight limited
 • Removal of invasion
 • Automatic flag pick up
 • Removal of Race
 • Ability to grief via blowing up friendly vehicles. You are able to blow up a teammates vehicle, however they do not die, so they are unable to boot you.

And visible rankings??

p.s don’t you just love it when a post complaining about too much Halo 4 complaining becomes thread of complaining about Halo 4?

Lets see the other problems.

Custom loadouts
1SK weapons you can spawn with
Instant spawn
JIP
Betrayal booting
Dynamic spawning
No need for map control
Cant pick up grenades without a perk (not sure if it is ammo as well dont play the game enough outside of flood)
Friendly fire off
Poor maps
Just a few things that i find to be a problem within mm.

Im sorry but you yelling and telling the “haters” to shut up isnt helping. Every game gets criticism and it helps the game in the long run if the devs are willing to act on it.

> Yes, sprint is a preference thing, but sometimes a preference can be a bad one.

Without the addition of sprint, we would still be playing a near identical Halo that we were five years ago.

Global Ordnance is a part of every gametype.

Vehicles are arguably underpowered (or at least some of them).

Default Sprint leads to nothing but larger maps since all it does is counter itself. If someone runs away you just run after him, difference is you can’t fire while doing it and your default speed is slower to compensate.

Armor abilities being better than other armor abilities, or just overpowered in general.

Fileshare, game options, etc I’ve sure you’ve all heard before.

When can I use the File Share?

Surely a troll. Surely?

Hey OP, the forums were meant as a place to complain. It is a place for people to outlet their so called cying in order to make the game better for everyone.

Telling other people to shut up isn’t going to help anyone. I most certainly don’t want people to complain.

If no one would complain, then no change would be made. If no change was made, we wouldn’t have a greater Halo. We don’t want that, now do we?

The difference is that you probably perceive people disliking the game as whining and complaining. Don’t take it like that.

People who come into the forums to “whine and complain” are actually trying to make the game better. If you read through their suggestions, they are actually really good.

Make note that I do like the game and there are more problems then simply weapon balance. Custom games, specializations, and other things also have problems.

> When can I use the File Share?

Obviously when they fix the file share.

> Vehicles are arguably underpowered (or at least some of them).

I swear the ghost is made of paper.

Custom loadouts aren’t a problem if they remove the Boltshot from them.
Friendly Fire isn’t a problem with the game. Again, it’s a personal choice an same applies for JIP.
No need for map control and poor map design are part of the same thing. Already has been addressed by BS Angel.

You say that like it’s a bad thing. Maps were smaller back then. People didn’t abuse sprint to get out of bad situations. People didn’t use sprint to limit the punishment of deaths. Literally no downside to the statement you just made.

Don’t change what ain’t broke.

How about the fact that 343i royally screwed over Custom Games?

I think they’re only looking at HaloGaf and NeoGaf because I think they’re very strict about who joins and more sensable people are members therefore 343 Industries looks at those forums more because they aren’t acting like whiny brats about stuff who complain for the sake of complaining, and they ignore this community because alot of people hear just complain for no reason (Such as: Nerfing the damn AR).

I think they’re ignoring the Halo forums that let ANYBODY join so they don’t do something that a few people wanted like maybe nerfed vehicle health (I bet they did that because they listened to the whiny brats who couldn’t even find a power weapon to blow up a Warthog or find cover in Halo 3. -_-) (I’m looking at you, Reach…) like what Bungie did with Reach.

Go anywhere else on the internet and Halo 4 is praised for being a great game. Come onto the official Halo forums and the game is toted to be the biggest piece of -Yoink- since Superman 64. I really despise the self proclaimed hardcore fans…

OP doesn’t have a clue…
