So like… the smurfs. I took a smurfin break from the game for like 3 smurfin months. Now I come back as an Onyx in Team Smurfena, and find nothing but Diamond and Platty smurfs… Did they change the smurfin ranking system, to allow smurfs to smurf new accounts and play with smurfin Onyx kids?

Yes, it’s a really good player on a lower account so they can play against people that are bad.

It’s creating an alternate account and purposely ranking lower than your normal rank. So you could be an Onyx player and you’ve ranked gold or silver, placing you in matches with people of average/below-average skill compared to your above-average skill. You tell me.
Yeah i totally agree, it is ridiculous and I have never understood why people want to do that. If you are good enough to get to Onyx or something of similar or higher level, why intentionally want to play bad, newer players? I mean I would imagine the lack of a challenge would get boring. But hey thats just me.
Although the recent comments from 343 about tweaking the system to faster and better recognize Smurfs has me looking forward to the future.
