It’s unlikely that this will be read by many, it will probably be followed by even fewer, but I thought that I should try.

Recently, there has been a lot of hate going around the forums, most of it directed at the changes 343i has made to multiplayer. I would be lying if I said that none of 343i’s additions concern me, but I’m cautiously optimistic about how Halo 4 will turn out. It’s obvious at this point that 343i cares deeply about the franchise, and it is a shame that a game so important is the first they produce, because in the eyes of many. 343 have yet to prove themselves.

I see this point, but I’m really excited to see Halo change and evolve, and 343 has made their passion for the franchise obvious. I trust them completely at this point, and I know a lot of people are with me, despite the fact that the majority of posts are made by a vocal minority (some of whom will likely reply to this ridiculing me); I’d like to put something together to unite the players that have faith in 343i to deliver a fun, addictive, and meaningful game with a well-executed story.

<mark>If you support the direction Halo 4 is taking (I know that many will just ignore this, but it’s worth a shot), please change your avatar to the one depicting the Forward Unto Dawn approaching Requiem (the avatar I’m currently using). I urge you to show your support for Halo 4, and the evolution of Halo as a series.</mark>

I just wanted to remind those that post hate threads that much of the population takes issue with them, without resorting to useless argument and bickering

Indeed, but even if people did this, it would just splinter the community. People aren’t going to stop voicing their opinions because of avatars. I’m sure once the game releases the drama will die down a bit.

OT: I support 343, but not enough to change my avatar xD. It’s like when people are always messaging me about joining their clan. I don’t like changing my service tag, spartan emblems, color and armor just to join a clan. I am my own face.

I would change my avatar, but I use it to find my posts because it is a rare avatar.

Nah, i like this avatar as it’s the first one i used when i came to Waypoint during the Beta.

I can show support through other means that are more positive and have impact (however small it may be).

Good intentions OP but this crusade of yours is in vain. There are always other ways to support Halo 4.

How about an other Halo 4 related Avatar, like I have?

I’m looking forward for Halo 4, but still, there are some changes that I might not like, but as I said in several thread before, after I watched some gameplay of a full match I will judge it.^^

People need to be more like me, it would be peaceful then and HaloGAF wouldn’t laugh about Halo Waypoint.

I support HALO 4 for only one reason. Its Halo! Ive been a fan of halo ever since i was about 6-8 playin Halo 1. Halo has and always will be my favorite game. I love Halo because of its Incredible Story and Music. Also i guess the Graphics. I am also a fan of cod. But to be honest Halo is the best game franchise out there Hands down! COD is one game franchised that is Mass produced every year. Every COD game is a remake of the last. Every new Halo game has HUGE changes to it. Like Graphics, Weapons, Characters, Vehicles, and a continuing story. Halo also has the same Main character unlike COD. I can still remember the first time i played Halo 2. My favorite cut scene in Halo 2 is the one where go to earth and Johnson says “Dear humanity, we regret being alien -Yoinks!-, we regret coming to Earth, and we most definitely regret the corps just blew up our raggedy–Yoink- fleet!” Then the first time i played Halo 3 was November 7-13 2007. The awesomest thing was driving the Mongooses with the marines with rocket launchers on the back fighting the all new HALO 3 SCARAB. I support HALO! I support HALO 4! I support BUNGiE and 343i!

I will reserve judgment till I pick up the game myself.

As of now, though, most things blow my mind and others… not so much. The general direction seems well, but I will still miss the old, even-spawns Halo Multiplayer. Only time will tell whether changing so drastically will be a good thing.
