I think a great feature to Introduce to halo would be name plates which you can display stats on like the Emblems in Destiny 2. It could give players a chance to show off their in game achievements and add more of a reason to chase different stats.
E.g. Multiplayer: Social K/D, Ranked K/D, Sniper Headshots, Sticks,…etc,
Campaign: K/D, Legendary Campaign Completions, Legendary Campaign completion time, No death mission completions.
Even have options to display these stats for different time periods, All time, Monthly, Weekly.
I think this feature would be great to introduce to MCC and Halo Infinite.

Love the idea about the Campaign completion.
A big no to K:D though. It would just encourage more KD farming (sigh). It really doesn’t mean anything except that you are probably going to be a bad team-mate.
And I would add a game completion rate (quitters need shame).

As soon as I started reading this it reminded me of destiny come to find out you cited that as inspiration lmaooo. I 100% agree I think it would be cool to give players the choice to do that!
I wouldn’t mind a kill counter or number of headshots. Some cool stats like that would be nice to flaunt around but I’m against something like a KD stat being shown - I feel like it could lead to people quitting if they see opponents with high KD’s or teammates with very low KD’s.

.-. Game completion isnt a cool thing to boast about. Put that in a expanded stats screen like they had in reach or in older cods. Yes to k/d and w/l on nameplates. Because it shows individual skill. Completing games doesnt mean anything to anyone in a social lobby.

Git gud. I miss when in cod you could expand a players stats in the lobby and see their win loss. Kd. Etc. If your stats arent good then you’re not good. And if you’re not good that’s completely fine. If someone is giving you -Yoink- just mute them.

Yes it should be built in to some of the nameplates as a toggle IMO.

Game completion is an awesome thing to boast about. Quitter’s suck. Name and shame.
And K:D is not a useful indication of individual skill. Any time I see a K:D my immediate thoughts are Smurf account or K:D farmer (who rarely make good team-mates). Give me an solid and accurately ranked player with a K:D of 1.0 any time.

I mean I’m talking about social here. In ranked k/d is an indicator of skill. To say it’s not is wrong and you know that. Is it the only or best? No, but it’s one of them. So all should be included. Game completion rate, K/D, W/L, etc.
I don’t play destiny so I don’t know what kind of system you’re referring to. IMO though, if you’re talking about the name plate shown in the pregame lobby while the match is loading, the only thing they should be showing is the GT, their emblem and rank, just like it’s always been. If you then click on their name plate, I think you should have the option to show certain stats, similar to the way Apex allows you to choose which stats you want to show.
I think they should put rank in the nameplate. I play differently depending on the competition and usually takes about 2-3 kills or deaths in to really know what I’m up against. Then I try to adjust accordingly

It’s an indicator of skill… for sure. But it’s a very poor one.
In objective games it usually points towards K:D farmers. Few of whom tend to be good team-mates.
In slayer games it suggests a Smurf account or someone who likes to run as the top dog in weaker fire-teams. Again, not necessarily a great indicator of skill and/or good team play. If said player really was that good they would be quickly ranked against better opponents and their K:D drawn back towards 1.0
And by showing it on the name-plate - is just going to be fuel to the flame.
I’m going to have to take a hard pass on KD stats being on nameplates. Unless only displayed in a free for all game type. Halo has always been a team based game and I feel adding KD to nameplates would only encourage people to farm KD and not play objectives or as a team.
