Hello, there community. First off, I want to apologize for my last forum post (Fix the game). I was extremely frustrated when I had just finished playing, and I shouldn’t have used some of the language I did, so I ask the forgiveness of anyone whom I offended.
Now that I have atoned for my sins… let’s talk about XP. Specifically, lets talk about how we see that we earned it. About a week ago, I went into spartan ops with a mission. Complete a challenge, and compare my total indicated XP earnings to what the progress bar said. I did that math, and proved that you most certainly do earn XP for completing challenges. However, those XP aren’t reflected in the post-game XP earnings screen. I would like to propose that this be changed. Specifically, I propose that a new line of text be added to the XP earnings page stating “Challenges”, and another stating “Commendations”. These would only show up conditionally, of course, if any XP was earned for their respective categories.
The purpose for this change would be to simply provide tangible visual feedback that the player did indeed earn that XP. And, although this comparison might irritate some people, do it just like Reach did. There: I said it.

I’m sorry, you’re asking me to not look at the combat? To ignore the guy trying to shotgun my face off so I can see something that USED TO be shown after the match and SHOULD be shown after?

It would be fine if we could go back into the commendations list and see how much previously earned commendations are worth, but that’s not currently possible as far as I can tell. It would just be simpler to add a line to the summary screen and tell you how much you earned.

so i should be paying attention to the top left corner of my screen instead of the tank about to me into 10000 -Yoinking!- bloody spartan chunks? okay then. . .
I can see one string of reason behind it… DOUBLE XP…
People would not understand that the double XP would come from their game play xp and not their challenge xp. But they could definitely organize it so it says:
Game Complete : 1000
Victory (If you won) : 500
Score : 750
Double XP amount : 4500
Challenge/Commendation XP : 1000
Total XP : 5500
Not everyone can think of everything… but IDK. Just an assumption that they would believe
Game Complete : 1000
Victory : 500
Score : 750
Challenge/Commendation : 1000
Double XP : 4500
Total : 5500
This could make people think they are not getting the correct double xp. Easily fixed with the above solution, but who knows.
I brought this to their attention with in the first few games I played on launch day. I guess it doesnt matter to them. Just like their are points awarded for kills of enemies in spops, but no scoring, medals, or Jeff. Not to mention, I feel like a -Yoink!- when fight an elite CQC, i mean, one melee kills you, supersoldier my butt!
Please implement this
