Just wanna say you guys are awesome. I just saw some dweeb go on a nerd rage about halo 4 and not only did you ban him… but you banned him until the human-covenant war is over in the year 2552! that’s hilarious! way to take out the trash AND stay in lore, bravo!
It’s against the rules to comment on forum moderation isn’t it?

It’s against the rules to comment on moderator decisions.
Banning them until then, is Halo Waypoint’s way of banning people permanently.

They should ban him. Haha!
I’m sure they appreciate the thank you and we all thank them for their work, but this has no constructive discussion regarding Halo 5. They will probably lock this
There’s a difference between, “OMG you guys banned me for XYZ, that’s -Yoink-!” and “Hey mods, thanks for catching that!”
Option 1 usually turns into a situation where we have to air all sorts of dirty laundry that is best kept between us and the user in question.
This is option 2. We like option 2.
A bit bias, don’t ya think? Uniform rules for everyone should be the way things work. Blanket the rule.

The bias is real. lol just a joke.

How is it that you always be me at posting?

Random question but I figured I’d keep it on this thread since it’s not related to halo 5. Do you have to deal with spoilers a lot because you have to moderate the forums so often ?

Generally speaking, yes. I had Halo 4 spoiled for me far in advance of the actual game being released.

Moderating is hardly black and white so it’s not as simple to say, “Blanket rules for everyone!” There’s some leeway and really. I’m not sure why you would begrudge us SOME praise rather than the hate mods usually get? A little encouragement goes a long way. We’re people just like you guys and it’s nice to know that we don’t go unappreciated.
Moderation here feels pretty heavy handed from time to time, but for the most part everything here is kept pretty clean, so I have few complaints.

Oh, they have. I’ve seen it live.

Blanket ruling for all. That’s how I feel.
And I’ve said thank you to mods in private message, seeing as how THAT isn’t against the rules.
But I wouldn’t post a thread about it, when this is a forum about Halo 5.

You are not just like me, I can’t be a mod! (Not that I agree with the hate you get, I completely disagree and feel bad for you getting the -Yoink!- because 343 messes up!)

Would you say that Bias was… Offensive?

Nah, he was Mendicant.

Rofl, really Lent? REALLY? That’s hurtful.
It being bias isn’t offensive. I just don’t think that some people get leniency while others get punished for the same thing. Blanket rules across the board. Period. All I’m saying to Snickers.
