Shouldn't have to pay to play FFA

I have held on to this game waiting for FFA and now that its finally added I have to pay extra to get to play it. WTF?

Sucks but I believe FFA will be its own playlist eventually anyways.

You aren’t missing anything at the moment though. Rumble Pro has no radar, and Infinity Rumble is like Infinity slayer but 10x more random and spammy.

Regicide was a launch playlist and doesn’t require you to “pay” for it.

Infinity Rumble only being available to Majestic owners is temporary. It will be available to all with default maps added some time soon.

Yeah if it stays the way it is its a -Yoink- move by 343 but then it would be classic -Yoink!- to take away basic features only to reintroduce them as pay-4 addons.

Just buy the season pass and loathe crimson like the rest of us.

I would purchase this map pack. Three excellent small maps… worth the purchase if you ask me. Crimson I never play on because I play smaller map playlists… Harvest is rarely voted on because it is too big for 4v4

I don’t get this. Radar’s are okay in FFA, but not in team games? What?

Yeah, regicide is not a true FFA playlist. The whole regicide gametype thing was a major fail on 343i part.

FFA, you have no teammates to call out and watch your back.

It is rue that a motion tracker gives an advantage to campers (people not moving) the FFA does not favor camping because any one staying in a room hoping to abuse the motion sensor is isolating himself and likely not earning kills. So motion sensor in FFA has more pros than cons.

This is only temporary until the FFA playlist comes out.

That is a horrible excuse o.o;

Campers will exist with or without a radar, that’s just their play style. In a competitive setting a Radar doesn’t hinder gameplay, nor reduce the amount of communication required.

I don’t understand this community sometimes…

It’s part of the sales pitch, like early access to specialisations for limited edition, if you want it buy it otherwise wait for it.

High def tvs, Internet, the Xbox itself and halo 4.by the time you’ve managed to accumulate all this tech the 10$ isn’t really much, splurge a little

You need radar in a FFA because you are alone and no one can do call outs, like its already been said before. That makes perfect sense. IN a team competitive game no radars helps the game become more of a team effort because it promotes communication within your team.

This

Get the maps or wait till it comes out in normal MM

  • sorry about ur luck

It’s not that hard. No Radar enables ambushes and encourages map movement, and it encourages discussion between teammates. You don’t have to camp because the enemy can’t see you to begin with. You can use trick jumps and shortcuts without the enemy knowing. It leads to more depth in the game.

Team gametypes are 4v4. You have three allies to protect you and help you out. They can call out enemy locations. They can save you from being flanked. When you die, you spawn with your team. Using teamwork, you can overcome the disadvantages of no radar.

FFA is basically 1v1v1v1v1v1v so on so forth. It’s chaotic. Without radar you are unable to know where enemies are unless they spawn in front of you or walk in front of you or jump behind you and start shooting. Since there’s no teams, players can spawn pretty much anywhere, and you have to watch your own back constantly, which is quite frankly impractical. If you find yourself in a 1v1 some guy could suddenly jump out and finish you both off. With radar you can use it to position yourself and avoid risky scenarios where a bunch of enemies are in a general area. Radar exists to lower the chaos.

I shouldn’t even have to explain this. Anyone who has played Rumble Pro and actually paid attention should notice how often they are ambushed, or how often it turns into a melee congo line. I’m just grateful some people on this forum have noticed.

Really if people looked closely at what actually happens in any gametype competitive settings wouldn’t have to be explained to begin with, it would be self explanatory what they are designed to counter.
