Should we simplify alert carry

Should we have alert carry like Halo 2(d-pad down) or later (button combo)

Edited because i read it wrong:
I honestly thing it should be simpler like holding a button that doesn’t get used all that often(as in halo 2). it can be a pain to time shots in machinima because of the cumbersome lowering combinations

I’m still wondering why they changed it in Halo 3?

The d-pad down does the tracking/objective waypoint when playing single-player.

I still don’t see why it was changed since machinima is easier in multiplayer. I think that if they keep the button combo it should at least not contain crouching or jumping.

Yeah, lowering your weapon should never be as complicated as it has been in the past.

You have to press up up down down left right left right A B select start and then sacrifice your first born.

Reach’s was the 2nd best just because you didn’t jump. Halo 2’s was the best (obviously).
