Should we have the reintroduction of clans?

Should we have the reintroduction of clans in Halo 4 matchmaking?

Yes? No?

Discuss pros and cons of a clan system

a

No theres no point you can just join a party with friends

It depends:
-If they are organized, and the leaders, and most of the members are older then 15. Then Yes.
-If they are disorganized, and most members, and leaders are a bunch of little kids. Then No.

But whats the point. If you want to do clan battles. Go to a site that has clans like Waypoint, and Bungie.net and find clans to battle with in custom games.

Nah, thats why there’s a party sytem. Still it could be interesting if they brought it back, perhaps a side option that allows to see what your clans are doing.

Ask yourself, what is the objective of adding clans to the game? Then go from there.

Besides a bunch of kids running around with the same emblem, and clan tag. None at all.

It wasn’t used at all. Back in Halo 2 you could match your friends clan late at night because literally no one played it. That’s why they eventually removed the playlist and why it wasn’t in Halo 3. Let it die.

Sure! That would be nice. I never got the chance to try it out the first time, so maybe this time?

The Halo community are so negative…

Okay then, introduce a TEAM instead of a clan and basically you have 2-8 players on this team and in matchmaking can search for other ‘teams’ of 4 or 5 or 8, ect.

Now that would be cool because both teams would have party chat. The odds of both full teams being on party chat are very low so why not introduce this playlist called ‘Clans’ or something.

Have you played Halo 2? I remember you saying you were a CE vet. They are asking for it to be implemented the same way. The only thing wrong with it was that no one used it.

Great to call them kids./sarcasm

I like clans because they encourage team play but this only counts if organized well.
Clans can lead to people improving in skill, heck I was put in charge of a clans training and saw the impact I had on them.
Example : one of the guys had a 0.8 kd and had no idea about pacing, map control or anything I consider basic. After teaching him the basics and some advanced tips in a week or so, all that had to be improved was aiming. After being with those guys for 2 months, the guy with 0.8 kd rose to 1.2 kd, he played a lot better then he had at the start and seemed to keep on getting better. Those guy were quiet disorganized at the start but after a while, heck some couldn’t even stand each other. But as days past they became friends simply because 1 guy recruited them.

Clans are like a large group of friends playing together and getting better together.
If every newb started of with a clan that learns them the basics and practices with them, they will get decent at the game in no time and MM games might not results in 50-10 for my team.

Again this does depend on how the clan is run as this example might have been a one time example only.

I’m all for Clans just for the level. My friends and I are really good at Halo, and we hate MLG players. We get off on beating them. We’d love it just to make MLG players suck it.

For some reason I’m having a hard time believing that…

Peopel have already come up with their own system, where they can make their own rules and limitations. And that’s why there is a party system.

It’s a good idea for a very select group of players (myself not included in this category). It served as a 2nd friends list in H2, but it hasn’t really been necessary since then. I don’t really think it needs to be implemented. I’d rather them focus their time and resources elsewhere.

Well, that depends. Seeing how the current market is on XBL, would Microsoft cash in on this and make it so you have to pay for clans? or would it remain free? If free, yes.
