well the title says it all. this is the most prominent part of the halo universe but it seems mostly abandoned by 343. all we got from this era are small bits of it from books like New Blood and Broken Circle and other bits here and there but no real stories. 343 seems more focused on the post war probably because they see it as THEIR era of the halo universe. What do you think?

I think it’s best that they keep moving forward with their own stuff.

yeah but it would be nice to add more battles or flesh other ones out such as algolis.
Everytime halo has backtracked it’s changed things. There really isn’t much to tell beyond regurgitating the same ideas and tick off fans.

I was mostly talking about other things that happened (maybe what happened on earth outside of Africa because it seems the fighting was only at Africa or in Orbit) or maybe other planets we have yet to hear about or see?
I don’t see why not. Some people say it would be going too far backwards, but there’s nearly 20 years worth of time of the Human-Covenant War that remains largely unexplored. So there’s certainly potential for some good stories to be told in there
Most of the other events are just the Covenant stomping on humanity. It’s a story that’s been told a few times already and there are very few new possibilities to elaborate on similar events/results. It’d just be new characters using similar tactics to just get wrecked.
If there are too many stories about humans overcoming the Covenant forces, then it would lessen the idea of the threat. It would just be new characters introduced and promptly killed.
True there should be more also i think there should be more on the Forerunner - Human war back before the Halo Crytum Book
I’ll be honest I just never get tired of the HC War, I still feel Halo’s first storyline is its best. I will always be up for more stories from that era.
YES! Yes yes yes. I loved The War, so many dead humanS. I could barely contain myself, too bad The Covenant is not around today killing humanS like it did back in my day. And my idea for a Covenant spin off game. Would provide so much history and fill so many lore-holes.
