For the people that vote, I would GREATLY appreciate an explanation for your reasoning on why you voted for what you voted for, ESPECIALLY if you vote no! I dont see how a free playlist could be a bad thing considering the fact that you DONT HAVE TO PLAY IT :P. This poll is not asking whether or not you like team snipers. Its asking whether all the players in our fine community should have a permanent option to play it, even if you dont like it. So yeah, a quick explanation for your reasoning would be very much appreciated and would also give any 343i members reading this better insight. Thank you!
I, personally, believe that there should have been a permanent Team Snipers playlist long ago. I understand the appeal of action sack to some casual gamers and maybe even some competitive gamers. But as a competitive gamer myself (and this is only my own peronal experience, I know not all competitive players will agree), I found action sack to feel like some sort of novelty playlist thats fun for a few hours but gets pretty old pretty fast. However, when there was a Snipes playlist I found myself abandoning my usual Arena, Slayer, and Doubles trio and playing strictly snipers only.
I know there are alot of people in the Halo community who feel the same way. The only complaint that some of my competitive online friends had about Snipers was that it was unranked. 343, if you chose not to make Snipers permanent because you found that it was unpopular, it might have been because Snipers is a competitive gametype and competitive players want to rank up.
And its not like big team where everybody can have fun whether its ranked or unranked because of all the vehicles and such. Snipers is where players with the most skillful and dexterous aim are king. There are no automatic, auto aim weapons, no rockets, no bansbees, no overshield or camouflage. Thats the beauty of it. Everybody has the same advantage the entire game.
So, if unpopularity WAS the reason, you cant expect casual players OR competitive players to play it all day when its a highly competitive gametype yet its a social playlist that some casual players may not enjoy, and has no rating system for competitive players to grind. Unless there is a different reason you guys kept action sack but not snipers? I just know that I probably wouldnt have played it as a social playlist but I had a feeling you guys werent going to keep it, which is why I played it all day while I still could.
Another note; this is meant to be a peaceful thread which I hope will encourage friendly discussion on the matter. Please do not come on my thread to insult me or eachother, as every player is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions. I am not a casual player, but Im not knocking anybody if they choose to be. And the reverse is also true, casual players shouldnt put down players who prefer to play more competitively.
