Should we get rewards for playing other Halos

Like the title says, should we get any rewards for playing previous Halos?

In my opinion, should we? No, I don’t think so. We bought the games, we played them, we got our moneys worth, so we don’t deserve anything.

BUT

I think it would be a really cool thing to have something like Reach did that showed what previous Halo games you had. I wear my Halo 2 tag very proudly. I think it would be cool to get something to show what games we played. Not something huge like exclusive armors or skins, but maybe an emblem? I think it would be incredibly awesome to have the Halo ring with the 2 in the middle as an emblem, whether it be foreground or background. Im sure since there are tons of emblem possibbilities so people will make something original and creative so having that emblem wouldn’t be overused, but it would definitally be cool to have.

So, what are your thoughts on this?

yeah, a proper Halo game.

Please 343.

Also, yes. There are reawrds trought waypoint. Like Reach.

yes i would love my past halo experience to be front and center

Sort of like when EA weren’t modern EA and actually gave you stuff for having earlier titles?

Starting XP based on cheevs/games played?

Is it confirmed whether they are rewards for past Halo titles? Does it specify what the rewards are? Either way, link meh!

I heard there will be rewards trought waypoint.

So, i guess is from past halo titles. But no they haven’t specify rewards.

Not really, more for asthetics. You know, just to prove that you have played said game. Like a new emblem or something. Nothing huge or something that effects gameplay. Just like a “I played _____ and here is proof by my shiny new emblem”. Just a little prize for the long time fans.

I don’t see the logic in reward someone for playing past games. Yes, it would be cool to see that while in game, people can see that I played H3 and Reach. But should I be rewarded for it? Not really.

I agree with critical on this, but I would love to see exclusive amour and titles for hardcore/long term fans.

Like I said, we don’t “deserve it”, but if they do, it would be more of a “Thank you for being such long time fans, heres a little prize for being awesome” sort of ordeal. Knowing 343, they would be cool enough to do something like that.

I see your point. but I don’t think they’re in the business of giving away rewards for us playing someone else’s games. Since it was Bungie’s, afterall.

Halo is Halo whether 343 or Bungie made it. Yes its not their games per say, but they do have the rights to the Halo franchise now so they technically can dowhatever they want with it. If they want to add things from previous Halo titles, then its fair game.

Small things like the watermarks in Reach

True, but in my opinion, I don’t see it happening.

Halo 2 doesn’t show up on my recent played list after i play it though, so how would they know if i have CE or 2.

What if people got a special tag for if their XBL account first signed into halo3 on xbl in 2007.

I predict it will be something like in Halo Reach. Just a little emblem thing beside your name. Even if not, its always fun to speculate and hope.

Halo CE and H2 show up as “Back Compact” which stands for Backwards Compatible. So you wouldn’t’ be able to receive credit for either game.
