Alright as we all know, next year is 2017. And as tradition would imply,(2011=CEA ,2014= Halo2A) we will might see a halo3 anniversary year.
But is it too early? halo 3’s graphics still hold up so is it time to put a new coat of paint over it? It would make sense for 343 to make a halo 3A because they are trying to release a game every year. In my opinion they should just remake some of the more popular halo 3 maps (high ground, stand off, avalanche, black out ect) and give us them in the form of a FREE dlc map pack for halo 5 and even if they make it cost something, i still would buy it. Tell me you opinions, i am curious to see how the community thinks about this topic.
No I think the next remakes should only come when a new generation hits and potentially they are 4K textures or VR or something groundbreaking, until then, focus on new games and new content. We already have MCC, and Reach and Wars are now BC.
No because the game is perfect. If they do anything, give us Halo 3 for the Xbox One, add in a few new maps and maybe some of the newer weapons (which would only be implemented on the new maps). Use the same engine, don’t change the graphics, only upgrade to 1080p and 60fps. That would be awesome. Same 1-50 ranking system with gainable exp. I would pay a ton for it.

I honestly want to see a halo 3 map pack for halo 5 next year to at least celebrate the game. They should just give us new and improved versions of the amazing maps that sold halo 3 for some people. The top 5 maps i would like (in non-linear order) to see would be Avalanche, High Ground, Guardian, Foundry, and Sand Trap. Halo 3 anniversary can wait until next gen consoles but i still want the game celebrated some how. i hope you under stand the context of this and the original statement.
Eh, I don’t think the graphics hold up. It really shows Halo 3’s age. The art style definitely still holds up, which is why it’s bearable to play.
But yeah. Halo 3 was my fave Halo, so I hope it happens. Graphics are getting better every year, so by next year, it would a GIANT improvement over the classic graphics.
I would love a halo 3 anniversary but I want the same main menu, the same way to unlock armor (by achievements) same ranking system, 5 to 6 remade maps, firefight mode, cinematic cutscenes like halo 2 a.

I wouldn’t mind a “Anniversary graphics update” DLC for MCC’s Halo 3 Campaign. Maybe make it sold separately as a standalone disc. No need for it to be mind blowing, just bring it up to par with Halo 5 graphics (the same way Halo CE got moved up to Reach and Halo 2 got moved up to Halo 4).
Outside of that, having some “for fun” skull added would also be nice. Bandana for Halo 3? Hell, you could skip the graphics update and just give me Bandana.

At this point the MCC is so broken I wouldn’t mind a Halo3A, if everything and I mean EVERYTHING is remastered.

Yes and no, I want it to play just like Halo 3. Give us Halo 3, same graphics and all just up to 1080p and 60fps, and then add in news maps and they can throw in their new weapons they’ve created on those maps. It would be Halo 3 on steroids.

Master Chief Collection…the broken joke of a “game” for the XB1? One of the biggest companies in the world couldn’t pull of the number 1 title for it’s system. Kind of sad.

would people stop hating on 343! they are a new company that has only been around since reach. when bungie made halo ce it was not their first game, not even their first fps. the “expectations” of the community are over the top. “I want halo 3A to have sprint and firefight” “i want the old reach or 3 ranking system to come back in the next halo 5 update” “sign my petition to bring bungie back”. 343 is learning and are listening to the community. all these halo 5 updates are allowing the community to pitch ideas and get what they want. firefight, noble team armor, infection. the brute plasma rifle is coming back. we may even see the falcon soon. i can understand why you wouldn’t want it in halo mcc and as it’s own disk. or just halo 3 as it’s own xbox one game. but people need to stop freaking out about every little thing 343 does. i am not saying that 343 has not made mistakes, mcc had major network failures, halo 5 servers went down for a day. but here we are, playing halo, and its all because their are people who are willing to do it. if you want to criticize 343 negatively and beg for bungie to come back and kill the whole staff, well then i think it is safe to tell you that bungie isn’t coming back. you want bungie go play destiny. you hate 343 stop playing halo. they are creating new games for us and still running the servers for all the 360 gen games. so stop complaining about 343. if you don’t wan’t halo 3 anniversary then so be it. but you are going to need a better reason than just “343 sucks”. i dont mean to offend you i hope you understand but i am just sick and tired of hearing people whine about 343.
