We need to be all over them. I’m not ever in it for the MP and this is still over the top for me.
Not too sure if it’ll make much of a difference though. Pretty sure they were expecting a negative reaction towards the change anyway.

Don’t buy the game (campaign), don’t play the game. Unfortunately, for a F2P title, there’s really not much you can do to hit them where it hurts - their wallets.

No. 343 couldn’t change this system even if they wanted.
The already have contracts with several companies that not only advertised but even sold products by now with the incentive to get codes for coatings.
If 343/MS were to change the system now, they’d be sued with breach of contract, as those codes become worthless.
The best thing to hope for is that it gets removed in a future title (10+ years later at the earliest, if 343 is to be believed) or made free some time down the line. But no chance for this happening even close to the launch window.

In theory I’d rather have, already said so when H5G became P2W, but not after this.
I’m not going to give 343 more money to revert a -Yoink- decision they shouldn’t have picked in the first place.

I dont like the replacement of basic colour options but you’re being overly dramatic.
I really doubt colours are just hidden behind paywalls, please get your Halo 5 PTSD in check, take your meds, drink some water and just wait for more info.

Couldnt they do both and make coatings more unique as a result by virtue of being, idk, unique colour shades or armor effects not able to be replicated alongside classic colour combinations withojt breaching their contracts?
Frankly that would be ideal for armor customisation. Looks neat for vehicles but basic colour selection? I mean… I’d prefer to choose the colours I like as opposed to there being a restriction.
In the new post they do acknowledge that people like the colour system from before so I seriously doubt they would make the basic colour options P2W of all things.

I was referring to H5G when I said P2W, and that game most certainly fit the definition.
HI, not so much, unless some of these color combinations turn out to be visually advantageous, like black skins on night maps or camoflage in the jungle, etc.

I really doubt it. You think a super soldier wearing camo isnt going to stand out? Its still a super soldier (with the beloved black undersuits y’all wanted also).
My main concern is that I like my pretty colours, I dont want to make do with the second best when it comes to something as basic as colours.

I know i’m being a little dramatic about it, nothings gonna change if we aren’t though. Though I think you read my post way more intensely and dramatically than I actually was tbh. Maybe overthinking my post and overreacting , try reading it again, calmly.

And I think we might be able to make them change their mind if we make enough of a huge deal out of this.

I mean if you saw literally any other comment you’d see that I otherwise agree that this choice isnt good but Im quite used to this community being melodramatic pisschildren so sorry about that.

I would be open to a ftp version and a paid version so one can choose. How would you feel towards a solution along those lines? Again, may not be probable

Yeah, I just don’t see it. 343 is gonna die on this hill. They won’t do that for just colors.
Even if they already made up their mind about the colors we need to let them know we dont like it, or they will just become more greedy and push even more MTs in to the game. The way they are talking about it gives me a feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg sadly…
We just keep our wallets/purses closed; get the word out to other gaming communities, as was the case with Battlefront II; and play the MCC.
Raise a stink on social media. Twitter, facebook, whatever.
Simply not paying for it isn’t going to do anything, as you’re going to get whales who will probably individually spend more money on cosmetics than all of us combined.
