I only find myself playing once a week. When each episode first launches it’s actually fun because no one knows what’s happening and there’s a sense of team work. After Tuesday that has worn off no matter how great the mission is or the environment and players are beginning to farm XP, commendations, or challenges. By Wednesday it’s basically a team kill heaven if vehicles are involved and it has devolved into a Ai kill race. Also with no customization options playing the previous episodes are far from fun and it seems they are friends or invite only while 343 is only hosting the latest week of missions. It’s not really fun by yourself if you can’t tweak the setting like Reach’s Firefight.
If I have to pay for the next season I’ll have to pass.
So 343 things to consider for Spartan Ops in Halo 5.
- Customization.
- Ai Spartans who play at your side. See Left4Dead or Gears or whatever game has side kicks helping you out while going solo.
- Option to boot team killers.
- Spread the Missions out over the week.
With Alien Colonial Marines and GTA coming out and if both recieve good reviews, I don’t see myself returning to Spartan Ops till Halo 5 once Season 1 finishes. Too bad Firefight got nixed it would’ve made a good filler between seasons and non gold members would at least have something from Halo 4.
Seeing how the first season is progressing, I would gladly pay for season 2.
Episode 6 was nice. Episode 7 has two new levels. The last four levels where the same level.
Episode 8 reuses atleast Vortex.
Unless they literally just make a new campaign and release a level a week and call it Spartan Ops Season 2, no thanks.
If we are going to buy Spartan Ops seasons, minus well make it more campaign levels

*Make sure they last up between 10-15 minute per game.
*Make more based on survival (Limited lives)

Nope. I love Spartan Ops, don’t get me wrong, it’s the only thing that makes Monday worth waiting for. It after getting this amazing service for free, I feel the greater parts of Halo 4 are slowly becoming DLC.

I don’t think wanting to NOT play the same six or seven levels for 25 missions is asking too much.
With the way Spartan ops is going, I would like to have at least a Season 2.
I haven’t been too fond of the gameplay side of Spartan Ops, but am interested in the story and the missions are still playable. Unless 343i majorly screws up the end of this season, I see no reason not to buy another season if such comes.

I bet you 343 will make achievements for the second season so you won’t be able to get 100% completion on Halo 4 without getting the second season of Spartan Ops.
