At the end of Halo Wars, there was an obvious cliff hanger built into the end credits. Since then, many people have wondered to the rest of the Spirit of Fire’s story. I read somewhere that it would take the SoF 25 to 30 years before it reached UNSC controlled space. The war ended approximately 24 years later. Halo 4 begins 5 years after that. Point being, we are well into the SoF’s arrival back home.
The question is, should we make it something in Halo 5? Or do we give it just an Honorable Mention? I would LIKE to see her return as the Infinity’s escort. That would be fair enough.
Sure…as long as it’s crew hasn’t died from cryo burn after years of in and out cryo storage. Or any vital systems have been destroyed. Or whether or not the “ancient evil” finds them first.
Often, games are left with cliffhangers, incase they want to make a sequel. I’m sure 343 is aware of the existence and unknown whereabouts of the spirit of fire, and i would love to see it again.
If you watched (or in your case, were there) the the E3 panels they said they wouldn’t tell that story in halo 4 but they will definetely tell it eventually.

I did watch the panel, and they were talking about Ghosts of Onyx. Aside from that, I meant either in Halo 5 or 6, I KNOW it is too late to add it to Halo 4.
early in the making of Halo 4, I.E. before the E3 showing, I made a forum with a way to tie in the SoF to the Halo storyline. The idea is obsolete now, but it WAS a good idea. it is here:
