A long time ago in halo 2 there where juggernauts and but they got cut. but they where brought back in a flood dlc for halo wars 2 but I Think we should get another chance to fight them again but in a fps game.
Im not sure if Infinite would or should be the place but if flood at some point returns to FPS Halo, then I would like to see more variation & finished juggernaut would be something of a mix of new & a callback to what could be done with Halo 2 files.
Well it does takeplace on zeta halo where the forerunners would keep the flood and study then and try to find a cure in a “Palace of pain” where they would expose humans to the flood and get them infected to study them and it is where the primordial was. but they need a grave mind to create a juggernaut or pure form.

There is definitely a possibility of flood in the setting but other things that need to be taken into account are that will there be an outbreak already present akin to Delta halo for otherwise the currently living species just seem unlikely candidates to release the flood again as there should be knowledge of the events of installation 04 & the following infections showing what diddling with the forerunner facilities can cause.
Though it could be said the “little damage” done to the ring could have given opportunity for an outbreak, or there could be some mad character that possibly gets some form of redemption arc.
Making an appearance for gravemind should be a breeze to make after sensible explanation for significant scale outbreak has been achieved.
Storywise flood would possibly work as counterforce for the faction of the created, showing them that the enslaved species need to possess the needs to defend themselves against the threat that caused the downfall of the forerunners & show Cortana that its actions have been major cause in the near extinction to all sentient life, first known time after the firing of the halo array.
A destruction in the scale of that it would pale the internal conflicts of the species of the milky way galaxy caused by stripping the ability to defend against the flood from said species while forerunner constructs in all their might proving to be unable to beat the flood, like it was the first time in all their glory while now they are 100,000 year old technology.
Though whether or not such short appearance would degrade the image of the flood threat is arguable. It would be a big role but sort of in the sidelines of the story.
I’ve always thought it would be interesting as a take on infection, in multiplayer, to have someone play as a literal juggernaut. Think of the gametype of the same name - one person spawns as the flood and is stomping around the map, and the others have to work to take him down. The winner becomes the new juggernaut
Well that’s if the flood are returning. Considering Installation 07’s history, it would be a shame not to have them appear.
well because we might go to reach as we saw in the trailer maybe in the story one of the banished brutes or elites in hails some flood spores and get transferred to reach from the ark or zeta halo starts some small infection back up.

Let me take a moment to say that it is only rumored, not confirmed, that the game’s events will take place in Zeta Halo. I hope it is, but until official confirmation, I can do just that.

And that is where we cross the unlikely scenario. We don’t even know if the alien faction is the Banished, even if their description matches. The Seraphs in the cover art are purple, questioning the theory’s possibility.
The Banished we fought in Halo Wars 2 are completely isolated. They have no way in or out now that they have no ships. If the Banished are indeed on Reach, they’d be a separate party, led by another leader.
There is no confirmation that the flood will be in Halo Infinite and there is no confirmation about anything related to the enemies really, so you never know.
