Should we be looking at Halo 5 Differently?

Ive been seeing a lot of forum posts about how Halo 5 should have had forge and all the other coming dlc at release, but I think this is the wrong way of looking at it. I think that we should be looking at halo 5 as a process rather than a game with added dlc. Perhaps we should see it like minecraft, the base game was pretty barebones but over time more and more content was added and it became ever more complicated. Halo 5 can be like this and over time we could see some pretty interesting things happen. These are my thoughts please Discuss

I agree with you.
People will always be unsatisfied, it’s how society is today.

I just don’t think it was a good idea to launch without forge. Forge should’ve been first, along with social playlists, then Warzone. Launching a Halo without core features that previous halos had makes it seem incomplete in a very bad way even if they were polishing it.

Youve got to remember though, this forge is way more complicated than what we have seen in previous halo games

This is how modern devs/publishers want us to think. They release unfinished games when they know they can’t be completed on schedule and then call them “updates”.

I guarantee if they could go past their release date to implement Forge into the game they would.
Microsoft had a set release date for them and forge was not completely ready. At least we are getting it.
Also, this forge is crazy. It was completely stripped and re-built practically.

I’ll take delayed, free updates over paid DLC any day.

oh my word with the conspiracy theories again.

Warzone is the most complex Gamemode Halo has ever seen Period. Now with that said realistically how many man hours do you think went into creating Warzone? Time was spent on a Gamemode that had a creator Return (req pack purchasing) you have to step back from halo and look at this from a business perspective. I wouldn’t be giving you any free updates if it was my game

No, they are charging the full $60 game just like always so I don’t see why anyone should treat H5 differently. Its not an early access game.

Minecraft on the other hand was(not even full price at that) where users participated in its development from very early on. A one off limited beta test does not an early access game make. Given that Halo 5 was considered to have gone gold prior to release, there is absolutely no reason consumers should then expect that they have to keep waiting for core features and gametypes that they got with previous games day one.
