Apparently it’s not possible to play the campaign in co-op if you don’t own the campaign, so if someone sets a co-op lobby and starts it, it won’t work. Do you think 343 should make it so that it’s possible to play co-op at least on a campaign owner’s lobby? Like how in some games you can play a level you didn’t unlock in co-op. I’m not saying to make the campaign free. What I’m saying is that players who don’t own the campaign could play on lobbies hosted by those who do. Why? Because again, your friends set up a campaign lobby and invite you to play online, only for it to not work because you don’t have the campaign. Doesn’t it sound sad for your friend? So what do you guys think?

Maybe they’ll let you demo the first few missions, but not the entire game. It would be rather weird if you could just play the entire campaign through coop if you haven’t purchased the campaign at all.
I just don’t see them even giving this consideration…

At first I was like “Why would anyone even think it would be possible to play a game they don’t own?” Then I remembered all the good times I had with my dad playing Halo CE campaign. I only had one copy of the game then. Since split screen co-op is gone now maybe there is some way 343 could earn some goodwill back.

Why would they do this? I genuinely can’t understand why they would. If you want to play the campaign, just buy it or subscribe to Game Pass for a month.

Wow! What a great idea! I literally could not see a single game developer, let alone 343 ever even considering this. Especially since they dropped split screen so that your friends will have to buy a copy of the game to play with you.

It would be pretty cool if Microsoft did a close friends list, where you could choose five friends that you could play co-op with on all the games that you own.
Did you actually think you would be able to play the campaign free of charge?
You can just buy Games Pass if you want to save money.
I’m not even a cappy and I think this is a dumb idea.

are people not happy at all that the multiplayer has become free to play that there now wane have also the campaign mode for free.
what is next dumb idea there are going to ask is to give us more free cosmectic stuffs since there not wane pay for it?

You say you didn’t ask for the campaign for free but you did ask to be able to play the campaign for free. Sounds like a dubious distinction.
I said to make it at least accessible in co-op on campaign owner lobbies.
And me and a lot of other people have expressed in various ways that we can’t see any reason why 343i/Microsoft would let people play the campaign for free. You keep trying to make some distinction between the campaign vs co-op campaign but not providing any logical agument what so ever as to why they might want to do this.

if you wane play the campaign and not wane pay for it then ask a friend that owns a copy from halo infinite if you can borrow it.
or play it at a friends house that owns one.
then you not have to pay for it.

Well I changed up the topic a bit since people think I want the campaign to be free. I also turned it into a question.
what you ask is still the same thing.
players that not own the campaign and let then play the campaign is for then a free campaign.
it has notting to do if somebody’s owns it or not its about the one’s that not owns it that play it for free.
so you can chance it and explane it good but the main point stay’s the same that you ask that players that not have pay for the campaign with real money are playing it then for free.
i am compleet against this idea since i have pay for the campaign with real money and thats the same with the others that have pay for it that are not happy about this idea.
you can be happy that you not have to pay for the multiplayer at all since it was normal the same thing as the campaign now to pay the full price for the game.
