What do you think? personally I don’t think we should take fall damage because of the armor that we have, that prevents that kind of damage, it also frees up spaces for more game-play. Oh and another thing, do you think that bodies should move when you hit them after they are dead?
If we don’t take fall damage in Halo 4 I think that if you fall from a height you should leave a dent in the ground when you land, with a large metallic thud along with wind rushing as you fall, maybe a little dust and rubble if you land in an open field were there is dirt, just for a realistic effect.
A bit like this picture.
I personally don’t think so. With no fall damage you can create some interesting map flow scenarios.
No. The MK-VI armour is designed to withstand long distance falls.
Canonically no, Spartan-II’s bones are pretty much equivalent to steel plus they have an impact gel absorber in their MJOLNIR suits. Also I think fall damage is just unnecessary for gameplay.
No. Canonically it wouldn’t make sense, and IMO, it’s way more fun without it because it opens up way more possibilities.
No falling damage, but if you fall from a high elevation, you shouldnt be able to move instantly, it should make a loud noise and stall your movement for a brief second
I don’t think there’s gonna be fall damage.
I hope so, it just wouldn’t make sense and just wouldn’t be fun at all, too much restriction.
I hope not, it limits alot of map possibilities. Also, lag kills you by making you fall off a ledge 2 or 3 times, making the game think you fell further, and thus killing you.
I personally wouldn’t want fall damage but others may,
but what I would want is if you land on someone from a high enough hight you would assassinate or hurt them kinda like in the Farcry 3 gameplay trailer

Maybe make it take down the shields or make it an option in Customs? Both options open up new possibilities. I know of many maps that would not work well without it.

Fall damage is a story killer for the technology point of view I mean Master Chief survived 2 kilometers of free fall in HALO 3 to make spartan II’s take fall damage is just stupid besides it plays no important role in multiplayer.
I think they should remain canon and not give us fall damage. However, I think you should stall a bit after hitting the ground, giving about a second to let the ground take the impact. Makes it a little more realistic. Jumping off a ledge over 100ft high and hitting the ground running doesn’t make much sense, even for a Spartan.
Fall damage? No, but I think it’d be alright if you become stunned for a second when you fall or jump from a great height.

Agreed.

Like in the picture when he’s crouching on the grunt, except you would rise a bit slow, maybe, for half a second.
i hope not, ive always wanted no fall damage in halo. This way, new types of maps can be made
While there should be no fall damage, It’d be more realistic and probably balancing to gameplay if when you landed you were stunned momentarily as you absorb the impact. Wither it be from the gel layer locking or just rising from a crouched position.
I’m not a fan of fall damage. I don’t think it should be in Halo 4.
maybe when you fall it can make it where you move realy slow for a few minuites.
