I like social gametypes like warzone sometimes, more of an arena slayer fan but I do like to get into the warzone too to change it up.
I just find that close games are sometimes hard to come by except in assault. We either completely dominate the other team of lose very badly. Even matched warzone games are very rare but very fun, one of my favorite warzone matches ended in a tie.
Arena is much better for keeping players in the skill range they belong. Sure there are afew blowouts either way just no where nearly as often. iMO arena is just much more competitive, therefore much more fun.
Maybe 343 should include a ranking system for warzone, don’t even display it, I don’t think anyone should really be bragging about being onyx in warzone lol. But onyx level players against newbies isn’t really fun for anyone.
Edit- it’s already there guys. Post is moot. Maybe tighten up warzone behind the scenes MMR.

Warzone still uses MMR behind the scenes, so you’re still going to be matching people of similar MMR, you just won’t be ranked for it.

Oh I c. That’s what I was talking about. I didn’t know there already was a behind the scenes mmr.
It must be a very loose system because my opponents have been all over the map ability wise.
Definitely a no. Warzone is just for fun. its not supposed to be ranked.

Yeah, I think it is a lot more loose compared to Arena but it is still there.

Guys what in talking about already exists. I was asking for a undisplayed MMR in warzone.
As posted above such a system already exists. Maybe then tighten that system up a bit?
I agree warzone is for fun, I just think close games are more fun than blowouts. I’d rather lose 996-1000 than destroy the enemy core 3 minutes in.
They should have a choice between warzone casual play and warzone competitive play. Casual is for when you just want to play with other people for fun or having not to stress to hard. Competitive for when you are really in the mood to get into the game and zone in.

This sounds fair for us guys that just want to have some fun. For casual play, it would be cool if we can pick which maps to play in.
To be honest I like that it’s social so everyone in it isn’t a try hard but I also think that all Playlist should hold a rank of some kind to represent your own personal skill at least
One of my friends just posted a video of us playing Warzone. This is how serious and competitive we are in there at times.

Some players got offended by our behaviour though so we have had to tone it down a bit now. Just a natural part of our culture to take the piss out of each other.
