The next XBOX console will be coming out late next year. Halo is one of Microsoft’s most popular titles - if not number one. I assume most people will be buying the new console pretty soon after it comes out like I will. Would you want them to release Halo 4 on the next console too?
Nope, because that is when Halo 5 comes out.
Calling it now, Halo will be a yearly title.

I imagine there will be 2-3 years after Halo 4 when Halo 5 comes out. I surely hope it’s not a yearly title.

-_- …no
halo should not be a yearly title this game is way better then the cod series
halo should be a 2 to 3 year title
No, but I’ll take Halo 2: Anniversary. With multiplayer and 4 player co-op.
pl0x?
A fast re-release would be a bit weird. It’s theoretically possible that we could get backwards compatibility, though.
Eh probably not Halo 5 all the way! 0_o

Isn’t going to happen, Read Up.
Who cares? Bungies game Destiny is what Microsoft plans on selling the XBOX 720

that was from July, i would not mind a remastered Halo 2 or a Halo wars 2. either or would not hurt my feelings. Just saying.
No, I’d rather they spend their time and energy making Halo 5/fixing all the current bugs in Halo 4/maintaining Halo 4 for more than a year than see them making Halo 4: 720 Edition
> Who cares? Bungies game Destiny is what Microsoft plans on selling the XBOX 720
Why do people keep calling it the xbox 720. That is too simple. Windows 8, windows phone 8. The next xbox will be the xbox8: infinity. you take the 8 and turn it sideways and it makes the infinity symbol.
No, Halo should be a 2-3 year release cycle. With that being said, they will likely use Bungie’s new game as a launch title and have backwards compatibility with 360 games. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually cancel live on 360 games like they did for original xbox games

If I am not mistaken, Isn’t Call of Duty developed by Two Company’s and lead by a Third? Activision gives the Orders to Infinity Ward head of the Modern warfare series, and they also give demands too Treyarch head of the World at War-Black Ops 2 trilogy. So Each Company actually gets two years (Sometimes three) to develop their next game. As was the case with Modern Warfare 2.
But from the Main Company in Charge (Activision) perspective, it’s a Yearly Cycle…
I hope Activision does not work Bunige into their early graves… But I’ll tell you all if you didn’t already know.
Activison is Chaining Bungie to their Sweat shop Desks and holding a gun to their head, while grasping their crotches in a Volcan Death grip, while forcing them to create a new game called “Destiny”. They are demanding Bungie make Four Games of the new series, while ALSO making FOUR DLC expansions for EACH game between the game release dates…
Hmmm sounds to me like they know COD is almost phased out. And are going to replace it. With a new Halo?
they’ll probably support live for the 360 for another 2 or 3 years after the “xbox infinity” releases

Last I read, Microsoft weren’t having a disc reader, all digital DL of games, will need XBL & Gold acc to use it… So backwards compatibility goes out the window, but Microsoft has previously said there will be no backward compatibility. 2-3 years for H5 sound about right, as XBox 720 is still, last I heard, due for a 2014-15 release.
As for Bungie, they’re no longer connected to Microsoft & the last word was, NOT developing any titles for the XBox 720.
Xbox 720 is not coming out next year. Halo 5 will be a launch title for 720 when it does come out (2014 at the earliest). Cool your jets and enjoy what’s out right now.

afaik it will be equipped with a bluray drive, but nothing has been confirmed. 2014 is not soon enough for a digital-media only xbox, think third world countries and their mediocre broadband connections. Plus, they want it as a media/entertainment device as well, people still buy movies in bluray.
As far as backward compatibility goes, do you have a link on that confirmation? It would seem kinda ridiculous to sacrifice the entire Xbox 360 game catalog
Does anyone know the specs on the new xbox?
