Should they add this to sprint?

I’m not sure if this is a good idea… but I was thinking… so many people hate sprint because you can run away from fights. What if 343 added a “stumble”? So if you’re sprinting, and you get shot, your character would trip a little (not fall down) and it would slow you down?

How in the world do you make Spartans stumble?

I actually want to see this implemented just to see the Spartan IV stumble animation.

You know, imagine yourself running, but you trip a tiny bit. You lose balance for just a second, but then you’re fine.

if you get shot while sprinting, you should stop sprinting and shouldnt be able to sprint again for like 2 seconds

This is Halo… not Assassins Creed.

Keep it simple!

Would much rather they add negative sprint to sprint so they cancelled out.

Maybe not a physical stumble, but maybe you’d get slowed down a bit. It wouldn’t make sense to completely stop sprinting because despite being shot you still have the forward momentum, but just slowed down a bit to put you in a bit more of a vulnerable position when you get caught running out in the open.

> if you get shot while sprinting, you should stop sprinting and shouldnt be able to sprint again for like 2 seconds

That is the dumbest idea ever. At that point you might at well not even have sprint because it would be so useless.

Here is why your idea is flawed.

Say you need to jump the chasm of doom, and you need to sprint to get enough speed, but right before you jump, someone shoots you. “Wow, that was an easy kill.”

What is to stop your teammates from shooting you to keep you from sprinting for a power weapon?

How would sprint help you when you need to sprint from cover to cover so you don’t die?

How would sprint help you when you are out in the open and someone starts shooting at you?

How would sprint help you in campaign if you have a time limit and enemies are shooting at you?

It wouldn’t help you at all. All the things that cause a necessity to sprint would only disable the ability to sprint, completely backwards! Illogical! Why even have sprint in the first place?

hmmmm, a conundrum…

If people keep finding all these things that they “need” to change about sprint, there is obviously a problem, and I know how to solve it, something that has been used for years and works every time… No sprint! Wow, what I great idea! And what do you know, there are no problems with not having sprint!

I have a solution in the post above. ^

Oh my god, that’s actually hilarious! xD

Hajahaha! I actually laughed out loud.

Stumbling Spartans that seem to be killer soldiers without balance. Oh this was really really funny, made my day. Hahahah I think I’ll fave this thread. xD

Thank you for helping me prove my point.
Sprint. Is. Useless.

Did i just embarrass myself? probably… :frowning: forever alone

People I think Spartans should stumble over flat surfaces by bullets that seem to weigh 50 pounds.
