As I have just started playing Halo 4, the game seemed pretty okay to me in the form of competitive, but when I looked at its forge world(Ravine)… WTF MAKE IT BIGGER! I liked the FW from halo reach because it provided a LOT of room to forge(made a Noble Base 1 map using all of the space IN forge), but as I looked at ravine, it seemed as if competitive was the only thing they had in mind with H4. Do you think they should pass an update that adds Reach’s forge world to Halo 4?
Make a new one instead, something recognizable as a forge world, but with a new layout and theme
I don’t think they could make a Forge World as big as the one in Halo Reach. Just saying, Halo 4 was an oppurtunity to show off what they can do, and the current maps, while varied, aren’t as big as Forgeworld or even Sandbox from Halo 3.
Ravine could have been a good map if they had made two of the towers facing each while across the lagoon or beach by a good distance and really opened that map up. But yeah a central massive forgeworld would’ve been nice.
yeah, they could have been more creative… or at least added another forge map(such as Ragnarok, which isn’t a forge map)
i love impact.

Or they could’ve let us go into the supposed MASSIVE UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES that they talk about in the map’s description.

THANK YOU! I tried to go ‘underground’ and was rewarded with “SUICIDE!”
IMO the only forge you could probably make with Ravine is… Asylum? or Uncaged? Or maybe Fat Kid(infection birthed from H3 where the “Fat Kid” was obscenely strong but slow)?
I honestly don’t think the 360 can handle a Halo 4 forge world. I get very slight framerate hIts from the bigger maps and split screen is not playable on large maps.
And I still have the Covenant 360(xbox 360 elite)… which played a cracked Reach(replaced) and halo 4 with little problems(frickin characters looked so real you’d think they were)
I’ve been hearing that the CTF space map known as Impact(?) is also a forge map… is it?
Maybe in Halo 5 on the nextbox.
The Xbox 360 is at the end of its life though. And Halo 4 pushes it to its limits, even in small maps.
If only they put it in a different environment.

this.
whatever they make has to be “playable” in 4 player split screen. Reach’s forge world was barely that. you couldn’t see vehicles half the time. it was annoying.

I would if I could.

UPDATE: It is a forge map, and so is Erosion(hmm, so they made three forge maps…). If there are any moderators around, can you remove this topic off the forums?
UPDATE: for anyone that hasn’t already, you may want to check out a new DLC called Forge Island

Ummmmm…no!
The Forerunner structure is precisely what people hate about Ravine.

I have checked this island, and I have to say this forge map is frickin HUGE! and although it doesn’t have much ‘furniture’, just try standing on one of the ‘anvils’(or better yet, put a coliseum wall flat on the surface)n and you will see what I’m talking about
