Should there be One-Liners/Puns in Halo 6?

Should there? And should it be like more ‘Halo’ style ones or James Bond Style ones like if Master Chief pushed a Elite into a burning pit after they tried to sneak up on him, Chief says “What a warm reception”.

I would like to have something like the speeches like in Halo 1&2, I.E. “Dear humanity we regret being alien -Yoinks!- we regret coming to earth and we most definitely regret that the corps just blew up our raggedy -Yoink- fleet!” Halo 2.
I would not like cheesy punchlines but I do think that there should be some fun times.

Yes, but not super cheesy ones, unless it’s a some what comedic character and another character calls them out on it like Roland or buck

Now that was just inflammatory.

“Boo!” - Master Chief.

I’m more or less of this mentality as long as it includes a lot of cursing and isn’t eye-rollingly cheesy.

If it feels like it makes since in terms of which character says it. Like it would make since for a character similar to Buck or Johnson (RIP), but not for Chief or Cortana. I think they are too involved in their mission.

We’ve only had 4 characters who are competent at 1 liners and 1 of them is dead.Chief, cortana, and buck can continue the legacy, but only if it makes sense in the moment

I don’t like how Halo 5 was written. For example, Locke saying, “You ask, you buy,” feels very forced. The Master Chief telling Locke, “Like hell you are,” sounds nothing like something the Master Chief might say. I’d like a little more consistency in writing the characters’ dialogue and actions across the series.

OT: No.

Yeah I think that’d be a great idea. Halo used to know when not to take itself seriously.

I can see this happening more frequent if someone activates the IWHBYD skull.

I don’t know why, but I like terribly timed & cheesy puns.

Yes.
