Like the Whispered truth. Should there be burst variants of the DMR and Magnum? I mean we know the Magnum can do it and the DMR should be able too.

im pretty sure thats what a whispered truth isas for a dmr it would be cool and i’d actually love a 2shots per burst dmr with the reach model that kills in 3 bursts but has the exact same kill time as the base br
A burst-fire Magnum (with lower damage to balance) would be something I’d like to see. In fact, more Magnum variants in general would be nice to see.
As for the DMR, I’m not too sure. The BR fills the role that it would have pretty well right now.

If they made 2 shots and 6 shot kill. It would be balanced.

While I can see it working in balance with the other weapons, my only issues are that it may either be overpowered, or it would simply be neglected. It would have to be worth using over the BR, if not only in its stead, at its optimal range. The TTK would need to be exactly the same, if not faster. At that point, it may be overpowered. If the TTK was even slightly slower, it may not be worth using, though that isn’t definite. I agree that it’d be cool to see and use, but I’m concerned that it may be either too strong or too weak, since it directly competes with the BR.

No way. I would not have BR do that at all. Imagine the Halo 2 BR with that.

I would actually be more interested in burst fire ARs and SMGs, sacrificing DPS for extra accuracy.

We already have a full-auto Carbine. I don’t think we need a burst-fire Carbine.
The burst fire DMR exists. It’s called a battle rifle.
