Was just thinking that since Xbox Live was having a lot of issues over the weekend, that maybe 343 should do another weekend or maybe extend the time that it’s free to play. The new players probably didn’t get to play that much.
I don’t think they should do it but anything is possible. It would be nice and I mean it’s not their first time doing a free to play weekend either and I don’t see why this would be the last one

Well I’m just mentioning it since most new players didn’t really get a good amount of time since Xbox Live was acting up. I was only able to really play on Friday
Given the circumstances of the time, I think it seems fair for the new guys to have a second chance. Then again, one can simply hop into Warzone Firefight as an easy stepping stone and proceed from there.
343 should do another free to play weekend. It allows players who would normally not consider buying halo 5 a chance to try it and possibly convince them to buy it.

That’s true as long as they don’t try mythic don’t know how fun that would be for a new player lol

Sure it’s not up to 343 but it doesn’t really matter who is responsible for organizing the free to play at the end of the day. My point was since Xbox Live was messing up a lot over the weekend would be nice to give an extension to the new players. There might have been more playing if Xbox Live was running as normal
To put this simply: Yes. They need to do this far more often from the start. I’d like to add in additions to this, such as removing placement games, redesigning CSR/MMR to be one rank instead of two that compare, and adding in new gametypes; but these are topics for another thread that no one tends to address but Twitch viewer and Youtubers.
The folks at 343 promoted it, so it’s appropriate for them to at least address the matter promptly.

Yea that’s what I was thinking since the new players didn’t really get a fair chance to try out the game with the Xbox Live issues. Guess we will see
So it wasn’t just me, the servers probably were overloaded that weekend.
^ The servers are nearly bad every day. The difference is that Xbox Live was actually having issues, making the server issues more predominant lol
