I looked through the list of AA and nothing seemed to fit me quite right because I do not specialize in one particular area, just the one applicable to the situation at hand so I wonder if to fit this I can choose a NONE for AA instead of something that doesn’t fit me.
Yep you can pick none
When you first go to MM, You will be given the following for your loadouts:
Assault Rifle
Magnum
Frag Grenades
It is entirely possible to not have AAs in your loadouts.
srry for not nknowing but what AA been gone for so long
Wait what no ability is missing I just want to have the option not to have one.
I wonder if anyone is going to use the option of not picking AA’s?
I honestly see absolutely no reason why most people would choose none, but honestly, I think that what I’m going to go with, because whenever I play with AA’s, I tend to use them stupidly or rely on them too much and end up dead faster
I’d rather have an option for “none” than be forced to use one
It’s been hypothesized that the “None” option is there mainly to provide an option for those who have yet to unlock any AAs through the progression system.
It would be impossible to start with a clean slate at SR-1 if there wasn’t a “None” option at each category.
I don’t get why you would choose to have no armor ability at all, but you can choose to have no armor ability at all.
Yes, you can choose none. Same for TacPacks and SupUpgrs.
Though honestly, if you are just gonna pick none anyway, go with Sentry Turret, or Promethean Vision. Neither of them really affect the way you will play or your playstyle. PV just gives you a better motion tracker to work with (which seems the most harmlessly native to me), and Sentry means once in a while you can just leave a turret somewhere to annoy someone.
The none option also helps with custom games.
Yes OP, at first, you will start with none and work your way into them. However, the big thing to note about this is your not going to be as effective as you could be without them.
To be honest, a few PhNx members and I have come up with a swap feature. that in exchange for not using an AA or other ability, you instead gain something along the lines of a movement increase. for future Halo games. This could both appease classical and new gamers alike as an AA will grant a specialty power, but if you forgo that, you also gain an additional base player trait that wouldn’t be present otherwise.

Or, you know, just don’t use your AA?
