I think the precursors shouldn’t be revealed until the series of games after the Reclaimer Saga. Give more time to flesh them out during a Galaxy-spanning conflict between Humanity, their allies, and the Flood. The Reclaimer Saga should focus on the conflict with the Forerunners and Created.
If they do make a game like the one you’re suggesting, then it should be a long time from now.
I’ll be unhappy, otherwise.

I’d definitely pay for a Forerunner game. The era doesn’t matter much, so long as it’s about the Forerunners.

I love the Forerunner era, and the story from the books so this should happen! We should be able to play as characters such as Bornstellar (later the IsoDidact), Forthencho, Chakas, Riser, the Ur-Didact and other human and Forerunner characters. It could be like a campaign where you switch sides to play through their perspectives of the war.

Especially the Ur-Didact as 343 didn’t treat him very well in previous games and Escalation, so he should be made to be more the way he was in the books.

For multiplayer, the game could have a mode where you can choose to be any of the playable characters in the game and play against or with other players and fight waves of enemies like the Flood, humans, Forerunners, and it won’t matter who you choose to play as that will determine who you fight.

That’s true, but what better way to fully immerse into a game than with the lore inside it? I know when I played destiny a lot of people complained about having to go to the phone to look things up why not bring the back lore into the story

I believe your right with the precursor side but why not see the forerunner side of that war? I believe that would be interesting myself

I’d definitely enjoy a game centered around the Human-Forerunner War. Ideally you’d play as both sides.
