Hello Fellow Spartans today I have wanted to talk about this for about a week now. So I have noticed that on Friday 7/17/15 that I am getting an Xbox oneand that the MCC is a digital download. Now I had experience with digital downloads sometimes I have them work sometimes they dont. I am not that really against the digital downloads, its just that I do not want them replacing game discs. Cause in the past game discs were easier to play games on. you just put on the disc and BOOM you are playing your game of your choice. I am glad that for Halo 5 Guardians that it will be a option on either the game disc or a digital download of the game. Here are some reasons why I do not enjoy digital downloads. First off you cant bring a digital download to a friends house. Now I know you guys will say,“Oh yea why just sign in to your xbox live account.” Yes its a good idea but my statement still stands. Lastly dont you as a community just love the game cover on the game. I mean when I first saw the MCC disc cover I stared at it for hours. Thank you for everyone who read or replied to this topic :)Das101x
There should definitely be an option. I prefer digital because I can’t ever get my younger brothers to stop leaving disc covers everywhere and there aren’t any friends to take the game over too anyways.
I prefer digital because you don’t have to worry about losing the disc, you can pre-install most games before release so that you can play them right as they come out, you don’t have to worry about games becoming unreadable due to being scratched, and you can purchase digital games anytime and anywhere using a mobile device with an internet connection and have them download before getting home.
The only downsides to digital are download times vary based off of your internet as opposed to having a single general install time using a disc, you can’t trade in or get a refund 99% of the time with digital, and digital is still the same price as retail for new games or more in the case of older games.
IMO there are more positives to digital than negative which is why I’ve been buying all digital since last November.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way anymore. Digital or physical, you will need to install the game. The best way to “bring games to a friends house” is to have an external HDD and sign in on their Xbox.
I dont even think just signing in to your profile on a friends console will automatically have the game ready, wouldnt they have to reinstall it? Unless of course they already had it, but you know what im sayin.
