Do you think the yanme’e (aka buggers) should return I halo infinite?
They were a fun enemy to fight and I actually kind of miss them myself and am hoping they’ll return.
You mean the Yanme’e and sure, why not?
I think you may be referring to the Yanme’e (Drones) since you referred to them as buggers. The Kig-Yar are the Jackals. That being said I wouldn’t mind seeing drones return, it was always fun to stick one with a plasma or spike grenade in Halo 3 and take out a cluster of them.
the hive mind of buggers would be interesting to see with infinates desighn style
would have also been cool to ave seen em in h5 or h4 cus the desighns for covenant was really different would have been cool to see a more ravenous version of the bugger to go along with the ravenous sub species of h5 and h4
Well, I wouldn’t mind seeing Yanme’e return as they brought a bit more danger with the flanking options they had, alongside of being a swarm type of an enemy.
And I would like to see a drone nest at some point.
Just none of that blowing to bits business from headshots that was added in Halo Reach, it was just weird reaction though if they do add drones blowing apart again then it should be caused by explosions rather than headshots.

Yeah, sorry I got confused there are a lot of different names to remember.
Eh, I got mixed feelings about them but I wouldn’t mind seeing them return. They were an intersting enemy to face.
Of course, they were always my second favorite enemy (besides Elites) for some reason. No harm in adding them, would be interesting to see how they are changed to fit the hybrid art style.
They absolutely should return, extra combatant variety is always a good thing.
Yeah why not? add in the shielded ones from ODST, and maybe introduce a like mini boss Hive Queen that is much much larger.
I too want to see the return of the Drones in Halo Infinite.
I’d love to see them return, despite the fact that they’re a right pain in the -Yoink- on legendary. I think I actually died more to them swarming me from every angle in that one ravine on Delta Halo than to jackal snipers over the course of the entire game!
I would expect them to be friendly or neutral since their are no longer forced into a war. It would also be interesting to see ‘friendly’ brutes.
On the one hand, it’s not my least favorite idea; On the other, they really never added anything fun to shoot at, and are one of the very few older ‘Legacy’ Halo enemies that I feel either needed to be expanded on from their Halo 3 ODST incarnation or straight-up removed entirely to make way for better things.
I considered them annoying to fight because you only ever seemed to encounter them as unsupported swarms, which is kind of annoying to fight for the same reason that Crawler Swarms are; You can’t take cover, and if you do, they just swarm all over you aggressively. They may be easy to kill, but a horde of them is doing as much damage as you do, so you just have a bad time. It’s why Swarm-style enemies are normally awful in any game unless they give you something to chew through them properly first, and Halo’s never really done that.
