Should the Halo 4 Sticky Detonator be brought back in Halo 5 with REQ variants or future games (Halo 6)? I feel like the detonator is a missed opportunity for a REQ in Halo 5.
Variant ideas? I liked the Idea of a Lore Doorbreaching variant that uses an EMP round, and a Area Denial Variant (Similar to a splinter grenade or older pulse grenade for added flare but better*)
*maybe make the damage better and the pulse to last longer.
It’s sooo much fun I loved that thing.stick em in the back and watch them run to teammates then boom.lol
But I believe they said no more req coming for halo 5.
Absolutely. One of the most fun and quirky Halo weapons to date in my opinion. Doesn’t matter if its not competitively viable it’ll still be fun for the rest of us.

Sticking a teammate with a Sticky round then let them charge into a group of players (presumably with a Speed Boost) would be hilarious.
Not in this game, nope. completely redundant.
For the next game? Only if it fits in the sandbox.
I personally prefer the pro pipe over the sticky det,
but who know’s what 343i will think of until then.
Yes, it’s basically C4 that can be used as a gun and shot people or even as a mini radar as the weapon had a screen of showing where the enemies are in which location. The only thing I would ask for it to have is more ammo to carry and no range limit as it explodes when it doesn’t stuck to anything in a certain distance.
In WZ, sure, but the Reach GL pretty much does the same thing if you hold down the trigger, but it would be cool sticking teammates cuz there’s no friendly fire. Or the good’ol suicide ghost

The first idea is cool, but the second idea is basically the way the H4 Sticky detonator worked. Take that, then spice it up with fuel rod energy or something fun like that.
The sticky detonator should be back, but I don’t know about Halo 5, Halo 6 for sure. I think all of 343I focus should be on Halo 6 now personally. Maybe it’s not used in something like the HCS in Halo 6, I don’t know, pro’s can decide, but in everything else, especially in firefight, yes.
I feel firefight is the area where crazy weapons can thrive. You could even have REQs like a ODST/drop pod drops, orbital strikes (Ion Canon anyone? LoL) etc. In modes like firefight. I’m telling you, firefight should be a focus in Halo 6. I’d scape Warzone completely in Halo 6 and have all the different weapon variants (so REQs because they’re not going anywhere…) used in firefight where they could really shine. Also, an ODST style firefight should be brought back in Halo 6 along side a REQs variant of firefight. Call it… I don’t know… Warzone Firefight lol Two very different modes of firefight for people to play.
Most people don’t like crazy, OP, weapons that are more random luck (cough scattershot cough) stuff in PvP matches (including me) … But when it comes to fighting AI only, aka Firefight…well… Anything goes right
Personally I wasn’t a fan of it in 4 but, I don’t mind it returning.
Competitively, yeah depending on the map. Was a unique weapon, couldn’t detonate in air so if you missed you missed. Could be used to trap areas since it has its own motion tracker.
Socially, could go anywhere.
Was a nice addition to the sandbox, added a very unique style of gameplay. Although you could use it as a slightly delayed rocket or as a troll when you stick someone. You can bait and trap areas. The only other you could do that with was the grenade launcher but with having the hold the trigger that was a little harder.
Also a weapon only becomes redundant if it occurs on the same map as another that is identical. But, which one is the redundant one?
