Should the Skulls be hidden again?

Hidden Skulls were once a part of Halo and I wonder if people prefer finding them on their own or having the Skulls as just a menu option ready to go from the start.

Hidden please! It’s fun to locate them and have to do trick jumps or something. Some of my fondest memories in Halo are having to get to tricky skull locations with my friend’s help. And really, it just adds replay value. Why this option was taken away from us in the first place I’ll never know.

I’m sure everyone can agree that hidden skulls are better.
There’s only one person who might think otherwise.
His name starts with a ‘s’.

Another thought is that the hidden skulls could be fractured into two or three pieces that may not even be located entirely on one level making skull hunting a bigger scavenger hunt.

Also it would be cool and weird if it was revealed that the skulls came from Promethean Knights.

I would like to have the Skulls hidden. It was really fun, just trying to find them. My only hope is they are not difficult to get, especially grenade jumping to get it, like trying to get Bandana Skull in CEA.

Hidden skulls…Hell Yeah!

Where do I sign yes?

The tribe has spoken. Let the skulls be hidden again in all their glory!

They should be Halo 2 difficulty!!

Those were best hidden skulls, outside the front lines and in some cases had fun elements to them (invisible fuel rod grunt, 3rd weapon angry skull, mini firefight, dancing grunts etc)! I would spend hours looking for them and then playing with the skulls once i did

Hidden.

We need to see more variety in the Skulls.

Score in campaign needs to return.

And you have some Skulls that make the game harder and some that make it easier.

Hard skulls increase your score whilst Easy Skulls reduce your score per kill.

I like the skulls in HCEA where some gave you infinity ammo, yes this made the game super easy, but also super fun for mucking around.

But we need to see some really hard skulls return like the Skull on Halo 2, that made all enemies invisible. This was awesome and made the game really hard, especially for spotting Jackal Snipers.

Halo CEA Skulls were pretty good, but require much more skulls.

Do you remember the giant soccer ball in Halo 2 and the Scarab gun.

Halo 2 was great.

Whether it is skulls, terminals, audio logs, what have you… Hunting for something is always good times… So long as it can done solo. Personally, I like skulls at the start.

That was great, i would have the black eye skull for full overshilds, rocket jump to the soccer ball and use the scarb gun to kick it around the map haha. Halo 2 had the best campaign hands down in terms of replayability.

Definitely hidden had fun times finding them in halo 3 and halo CEA.

I think the reason (or excuse) Bungie and 343i left out hidden skulls for both Halo: Reach and Halo 4 was because some of the online challenges required it. My solution is to keep major and known skulls such as Iron, Thunderstorm, Mythic ect… unlocked from the beginning and leave other collectibles such as skulls, terminals and data entries hidden around each campaign map, increasing replay-ability.

The hidden skulls this time round will be new and more innovative skulls, like the ones in Halo Wars and Halo: CEA.

I also hope that most of these skulls are hard to find with some difficult objectives and obstacles in the way to slow down the player. A great example could be the IWHBYD in Halo 3, giving us a puzzle to solve.

Another thing I liked with the Halo 2 skulls was the fact that each skull was unique, having Elites roaring and Grunts dancing around some of them…

Your probably right, Some Skulls should be available from start. But most should be required to be found.

But we should have a many skulls (Multiple Skulls per Map to be found), One Skull attributes makes the game Easy the other Harder.

This is why Campaign Scoring should return. Halo Wars did this very well.

I’d prefer that the skulls be hidden again, but I’m undecided as to whether or not I want them to be able to be activated whenever once found for the first time.

I really enjoyed finding the skulls in halo 3. Just that feel you get when you find a skull that was really difficult to obtain.

Yes, YES

For the love of Frankie, yes!

Incase you did not know which option i voted for, i voted hidden.

Hidden Skulls and Campaign scoring please.

Silver: Menu
Gold: Hidden…REALLY hidden.
