Should the power weapons be so powerful?

Clarification: I know power weapons are supposed to powerful, but I wonder if you all think they are too powerful for their Req level.

While playing Halo 5 with it’s shiny new Req System, you may notice some of the power weapons are exceptionally powerful. Do you think that rarity of these weapons offsets their power? For example, The Answer is a SAW with a slightly lower rate of fire, but fires explosive rounds, and is capable of reducing Spartans and vehicles to shreds, but it cannot be obtained until Req Level 6. Do you think that the level requirement offsets the fact that this weapon is exceptionally powerful, or maybe even overpowered? Do you think the Req System makes it okay for some weapons to be overpowered?

In my opinion, the new Req System makes it okay for certain weapons or vehicles to be overpowered, but not to such and extent that makes the user nearly invincible. I feel the system as a whole is well-balanced.

Give me your opinion!

I think it was a pretty good idea and I think they did best they possibly could given what they got but one problem I have with it is the winning team will have the option to bigger weapons before the losing team those bigger weapons will make winning easier creating a gap in the power between the teams sadly if they did however do something like the losing team unlocks reqs faster or something they it could say pretty even in my opinion.

It has the word “power” in it.
So the answer to your question is yes.

“Should power weapons be so _power_ful?” Well, yes. They’re called power weapons for a reason.

Agreed, they need to be powerful, but I am wondering if people think they are too powerful for their corresponding req level.
