Adding all of that stuff would require them to spend lots of time and resources modeling and balancing them. And as much as I like Brute weapons and vehicles, I don’t think they should do that kind of thing before they make other changes that I suggested in a different thread. In any case, I doubt 343 will pay that much attention to Halo 5 at this point.
I think two of those things are already in the game code, but talking about it wouldn’t be allowed. Don’t know if they should return or not. The REQ system is already bloated and it would require testing and balancing which I’d imagine they don’t want to waste resources on for a few weapons.
Well the Brute Shot is essentially the Reach grenade launcher/plasma caster. As far as the spiker and mauler go. I would say the brute plasma rifle is the spiker. We don’t really have an equivalent for the mauler off the top of my head

The Plasma Caster seems to have replaced the Brute Shot, and I prefer the Plasma Caster anyway. My answer is no.
That seems fun. I liked those weapons from halo 3 and I want them to return.
I would like to see the brute shot added. It would be nice to see one more content drop for H5 seeing how H6 is a long ways off.
The Brute Shot would be a great counterpart to the Grenade Launcher, with emphasis on suppressive fire and with the option of a deadly melee attack.
I’m still shocked we didn’t see some type of Brute remnant in this game. I guess that’s what HW2 was for.
Probably not in H5, maybe H6 though but I do agree it would be a nice addition.

Looking at the basics there the better option would be the H2 one but people might complain about how powerful it is since it also has the melee bonus on top. So maybe the H3 would be the better choice from the beginning. However it does lack ammo and has a somewhat slow reload on both versions so.
The other weapons, well, the spiker wasn’t much different from 3 to Reach and the Mauler only appeared once. So lets think.
H5 added headshot bonus to UNSC automatics and the spiker fires big, molten spikes so one of them to the face would hurt y’know. So the spiker would probably be decent against health and for balancing weaker against shielding. Anyway lets look at some pros and cons

So looking at the basics here the weapon can happily handle itself quite nicely but without brutes it may feel out of place. (heh, imagine playable brutes)
The mauler is… an odd one. A shotgun with awful range and damage but made up for it with melee bonus, with the high speed of the current halo I think it could actually fit, just.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Chopper again. sure it was glitchy as sin but it was mean looking and the cannons were sweet. Could see some sweet variants as well.
Hell yes I would like to see the brute weapons and brute vehicles added to the req pool for warzone. However ik it’ not very likely even with halo 6 not being close to release. I wish they would… so if the won’t do it for Halo 5 then include it in Halo 6. I would also like to see the hornet added to the req pool too.
