Let’s be honest. The halo 5 magnum is a very useful weapon, but I believe it is slightly to overpowered and overused. It has ridiculous range and ridiculous accuracy and damage. I believe the range and accuracy should be reduced. There are weapons out there that are in need of a buff like the assault rifle and suppressor. If the pistol were to be nerfed I’m positive the assault rifle will be used more often. Like the good old days!
I heard on a other post that the magnum and other weapons got less aim assist so people need to use it with skill. And its only good when a mid range and when you make all of your shots.
Really? Can people not be satisfied that it’s somewhat useful?
The Magnum is too unwieldy in immediate close quarters, and too inaccurate in long range. The Ar and Br outclass it in their respective ranges. The Br, probably outclasses it even more so within the Magnums range, due it in being a map pick up now.
The current balancing of weapon starts is fine. The magnum requires a fair amount of skill to be proficient with.
I don’t think it needs to be nerfed, yes it is pretty good but still you do need at least a little bit of skillz to pick some kills of so it should’nt be removed

A nerf would make it basically useless against the AR.
And the AR does not need a buff. That’s just ridiculous.
It is a useful weapon but not OP. Just look at CE pistol, H2/3 BR for OP starting weapons

- Its a utility weapon it is meant to be useful
- Its a starting weapon of course its overused
- It has been proven that any weapon can beat any other weapon the only determining factors are player environment and individual skill.
- If we nerfed the magnum it would be as rubbish as the 2, 3 and Reach variants.

The problem is if you nerfed the pistol the BR and DMR would be ungodly better then it.
However, what people don’t understand is as long as you can aim well the pistol can shoot and kill at any range. You are at any point perfectly capable of perfecting a person at any range on an arena map. It not like it has bloom or a burst pattern that prevent it from shooting at DMR range.

True but it requires significantly more skill and its accuracy is not quite as good.
I disagree! I’m much better at using the BR or DMR or even Lightrifle than the Magnum. These weapons are easier to hit with than the Magnum, making the Magnum a well balanced starting weapon that a proficient player can wreck with vs a less proficient (such as myself) who may win the odd battle with it, but I would rather pick up a different weapon as I stand a better chance with it.

Well it doesnt change pattern, but weaps change dmg depending om range. So weaps has their usefull ranges.
I just recently started switching to AR when enemies are close/mid and see an improvement in my game.
