I personally prefer the Battle Rifle, but I know some of my friends prefer the DMR so do you think they should just both be in Halo 4?
They can do whatever they want in campaign/multiplayer but I think they should include all weapons from previous halo games in forge. Halo 3 had this and that’s part of why I enjoyed it more than reach where they trimmed down the arsenal.
I just want the BR, if they put the DMR in halo 4 I wouldn’t mind
It would not make sense to bring back the DMR.
BR is more fun to use IMO I watch others use the BR, it looks enjoyable to use. I always liked 3 round burst weapons (though the Halo 3 BR spread is meh).
I watch awesome DMRs and it’s not the same.
It should be one or the other; having both will require 343 to nerf one gun in order to keep the other relevant.
So for simplicity’s sake: The Battle Rifle for Halo 4.
I like BR over DMR, but I wish it would be a hybrid of the two…
In H2/H3 we had the BR and Carbine, so I don’t see why we can’t have a BR and DMR. I think it would be a safe bet to have a burst fire utility weapon and a single shot utility weapon in Reach. We all want the BR back as we haven’t had for the past 2 Halo games so I would be surprised if it didn’t return in some form.

I didn’t like the DMR very much. The noise, the look, the handling, it all felt so wrong, in my opinion.

There’s no point in having both. It’s like having the Plasma Repeater and the Plasma Rifle together. It’s redundant and a waste of space.

That’s not a fair comparison.
They have completely different properties.
A better comparison would be the AR and the PR, as they are the most similar in function.

Yeah, all the weapons should be in Customs and Forge.
I just want the BR back. I really don’t like anything about the DMR.
… can’t we just give the BR the capability of switching between 3 round burst and single shots? Or make both available in custom settings by changing the properties of the guns being used?
