Should Team killing come back?

You know. jist to kill the teamates who don’t help out in a two vs one.

There is team killing, only mode that doesn’t have it is WZ I think.

Ah yes, because that’s what Halo needs: every troll in history to betray their team mates for no reason other than to make them mad. Or for every idiot who thinks they’re godly with a certain weapon or vehicle to throw a temper tantrum and kill their team mate because they didn’t get to the weapon/vehicle first.

This was a legitimate problem in Halo: Reach, I’d prefer if we didn’t go back to those days.

So I’m good, thanks.

(I’m not trying to be mean here, it’s just I have a LOT of bad memories from the days of Reach and I’d prefer not to have to live through that again. Besides, it seems a bit unnecessary to want to kill a team mate for not being useful. That’s detrimental to the game; don’t betrayals knock off a point?)

NO! Are you crazy. And what do you mean bring back? Last time I checked you can still kill your teammates now.

I think you mean you want a vote kick.

Sure…as long as the boot to kick betrayer also returns to Infinite.
Yeh kind of weird that WZ doesn’t have the option to kick since too many players on WZ don’t pay any attention to their surroundings.

To be honest bud you shouldn’t kill your teammates for any reason at all

People who betray for snipers, to troll or because your teammate didn’t help is toxic besides accidental betrays. It’s most likely it will make a return

It never went away?

I think the OP is referring to it being in Halo Infinite. I don’t mind friendly fire, it makes me think about situations. However, there are many that troll and team kill for weapons. So we need the kick button option too.

Just… Don’t…

In game this would cause a “Scare” on that a teammate can betray you on any given moment, at any time. He might want your gun, your grenades, or worse, to ruin your game and make you mad
It would be funny at some times, (Cough) The Doodle Medal (Cough). But the professional community would not like it at all.

Just the facts.

Team killing should be in ranked playlists not social playlists imo

Lol I think its fun if team killing comes back. Trolling is what every game needs. Its what brings social players to life.

Friendly fire isn’t friendly. :stuck_out_tongue:

Funnily enough, I’ve never found friendly fire to be an important part of Halo’s gameplay even though it’s been in the franchise since the beginning.

I’d rather not have team killing but it’ll probably still be there because it is still around in H5. But I do agree that a kick vote should pop up somewhere.

A vote kick isn’t foolproof however. Some players may get vote kicked for being a person who is new, or ruining a teams strategy.
This is more evident in Team Fortress 2, where you may get vote kicked for the same thing.
This would be also misused by server owners (If that is featured) to kick people that kill them.

This is the reason that a vote kick system should not be used. Rather, I would have a boot system in which you were team killed, you can boot that teammate.

Well just to be clear. I never killed for the sniper. not a fan of it.

That does make a lot of sense. I agree, a boot system would probably be better. But then again I could also see that being misused in the case of accidentally fragging a teammate. So maybe like 2 strike system per game. One team kill, but if it repeats you can get booted.

That just reminds me of many occasions with half the team betraying each other to hold the sniper rifle for 2 seconds while just wasting clips to revenge, I guess, earlier revenges just to keep the others from using the sniper rifle.

Classic scenario in Halo but one that id prefer to stay behind.

“Soon the Great Journey shall begin. But when it does, the weight of your heresy will stay your feet. And you shall be left behind.”

I mean, you can send your allies kamikaze style by sticking them even now so no need to turn friendly fire off. Sure, they wouldn’t die, but then it would be just half the fun, y’know?
