Should SWAT get the Team Snipers treatment?

I’m on the fence about this. On the one hand, I’d like a reason to actually use the Covenant and Forerunner weapons in SWAT (since Covenant and Forerunner SWAT seem to rarely get any votes), but on the other, normal SWAT seems really balanced as it is. I feel evenly matched against the other players regardless of whether I’m using the DMR or the Battle Rifle, and I think that balance might go away if the Carbine and the Lightrifle become options in a standard game.

Then no one would pick anything except the carbine - except maybe DMRs on Complex. The Carbine’s RoF would give it all of the benefits of the Magnum . . . but with more accuracy at range.

What I would like to see instead is 1st slot Human, 2nd slot Covenant, 3rd slot Forerunner. Always. That way, all 3 types are available as options for every vote.

I prefer Forerunner and Covenant SWAT to normal SWAT, so I’d rather not see this happen

Negative. I pwned with the Carbine in the Global Championship’s Rumble SWAT Rifles gametype. Its fast RoF destroys everything else. The gametype would be completely dominated by Carbines.

The Light Rifle would almost never be used, since it has the slowest unscoped RoF.

Last I checked, players don’t get the option to spawn with the Beam Rifle but rather the Beam Rifle is a PW that spawns in. Same could happen for the Carbine.
