now do you guys want sprint on halo xbox one or no im starting to here people disliking sprint and some want sprint to stay so im making a post to see how many of them want sprint to stay or leave.
I personally don’t want it to return but will not be surprised if it does make a comeback. If it does I would love to be able to turn it off in the gametype options or it just be there and not be part of the core game(vanilla settings).
It promotes the developers to make bigger maps and that was a big problem in Halo 4.
I remember hearing Frankie say that it was a “standard for the genre,” so I’m not expecting it to leave.
Either way, I’m neutral on the subject. Wouldn’t mind if it stayed or left.
I would like sprint to stay the way it is, like in Halo 4.
I don’t like sprint as an AA like in Reach, and the Reach noises… O.O
The reasons behind why they should keep sprint are:
1.) It just seems natural for a genetically enhanced super solider to do.
2.) If not used as a perk like Mobility, it isn’t infinite. You have a nice amount of time to dash before having to cool down. Bringing us to…
3.) It’s nicely balanced. You quit sprinting when you’re hit, it’s not infinite.
4.) Gameplay without it just would seem too slow for me. You wouldn’t ‘walk’ into a massive battle for control of the galaxy, would you?
There are a few more, but personally, I’m a pro-sprint kind of guy.
Sprint can stay but it needs to be highly moderated. I think it’s good for machinima directors.
FLINCH NEEDS TO GO.
> I remember hearing Frankie say that it was a “standard for the genre,” so I’m not expecting it to leave.
Well hey, I’m pretty sure 3sk sidearms are pretty damn common in the genre too. Wonder why Franky doesn’t support those.
I want sprint to leave, but it’s bound to stay due to player demand. Best we can do is make sprint into a limited short-burst to reduce its impact.
Sprint was a feature I wanted more than anything in the earlier Halos. And now it’s here, hopefully to stay.
That said, I wouldn’t mind some changes since the current iteration is upsetting so many people. What if the granted speed boost was decreased to somewhere around 20-30 percent? And what if the sprint rate and duration is heavily decreased when being shot at?

How do you feel about the possibility of sprint promoting developers to make bigger maps? Do you feel like if there were more smaller 4v4 maps like Midship from Halo 2 the game could still be fast paced without sprint?
> You give me Yoink! for “asking for cod-esque mechanics” and now you say you want sprint.

I am pretty neutral about Sprint. If it’s going to stay the only thing I demand from 343i is bigger maps. Halo 4’s were all terrible mainly because they felt too small.
I will not reconsider any of my viewpoints because I share those of the majority. Only can Halo survive with the core gameplay/features of the classic trilogy.
Just bought PvZ which has no sprint and I am so happy! No sprint for Halo Xbox one either.
just give us the option to have sprint problem is solved.
Have it so we can turn it on or off, it makes for different maps and different gameplay.
We can have forge maps that cater to the classic slayer for something like Mlg and have sprint more for BTB and anything larger then 4v4
I feel sprint is completely unnecessary. Just remove sprint and have a higher base movement speed with smaller maps. Sprint ruins the map design and makes melee and sword rushing way too easy.
Also, the argument that Halo should have sprint because Spartans are super soldiers or some -Yoink- is incredibly weak. I mean, if “Spartans are super soldiers” is the only reason to add something (and I know that isn’t the only reason some people want sprint), then why not let us dual-wield Energy Swords then? Spartans can do that, right? Don’t use that argument. It doesn’t work.

Plants in Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare shouldn’t be able to move because they are plants!
I’m very disappointed this poll doesn’t have a neutral option. I’m a hardcore/competitive gamer who’s imploring for the return of the classic Halo experience with the future Halo games. Sprint has no place in competitive gameplay, but it does in MACHINIMAS. I’m a huge fan of Halo machinimas and machinima directors need more features to make machinimas.
I don’t mind if Sprint stays in Halo or not, but if it does I only ask for huge maps like Halo 3 and for it not to ruin competitive Halo.
All you need to do is increase field of view, increase default player movement speed, faster movement acceleration, and smaller maps. What this does is fix all of the things sprint tried to fix without any of the problems sprint has brought in.
Sprint singlehandedly destroys Halo gameplay.
A huge ‘leave’ from me.
Does this look slow-paced to anybody here?
Anybody still think Sprint will makes a game faster-paced? It clearly does the opposite.
This guy’s gun is always prepped, he’s always scanning and shooting, and the action never stops.
He’ll snipe somebody, then immediately swap to BR to team shoot somebody else while throwing grenades into key areas.
Nobody sprinting away to make up for their bad playing. No cat and mouse chases. No sprint first, shoot later. No blatant sprinting into somebody to double-beatdown. No cheapness.
This is pure skill and pure Halo… the way it should be.

Prove it.

Now this… this is Halo. The responsive strafing and overall quick base movement helps a lot, too. No unnecessary complications.
